Popsugar Reading Challenge - 2018
I'm at 14/50 complete since finishing The Glass Town Game a few days ago - counted it for prompt 6, "based on a real person". (Though that might be a bit of a stretch as it is very much a ridiculous middle-grade fantasy novel which happens to star fictionalized versions of real people.)

26. A book with an animal in the title - Wolf of the Plains (Conquerer #1) by Conn Iggulden 5-stars
Just completed #48 (microhistory) - A Crown for Cold Silver by Alex Marshall. While there were parts of this book I enjoyed, the book would have benefited from some serious editing. There were certain sections that were just too odd, and then for all the verbosity of the author, other sections were too vague. For the ambition and the parts I enjoyed, I'm rating this 3 stars. I received this book as a free giveaway in exchange for my honest review. Unless you love grimdark literature, this is not one I would recommend. I will not be continuing the series.12/40

Update m. 14311/20 - a book with alliteration in the title
Women of Will: The remarkable evolution of Shakespeare’s female characters, by Tina Packer
Just completed #3 (next book in series) - Still Me by Jojo Moyes. Thoroughly enjoyed this next chapter in Louisa Clark's saga. And Moyes' writing, as ever, contains beautifully poignant moments punctuated by really funny scenes. My only tiny critique is that at time Moyes can be a touch obtuse in conveying a meaning. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars13/40

7. A book set in a country that fascinates you - Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen ✔️
10. A book about death or grief - Crooked House by Agatha Christie ✔️
27. A book set on a different planet - Artemis by Andy Weir ✔️
37. A book you meant to read in 2017 but didn’t get to - Anthem by Ayn Rand ✔️
Finished reading Crooked House by Agatha Christie.
What an unexpected twist in the end! Superb writing and kudos to Agatha Christie for maintaining the suspense till the last chapter.
Heard somewhere that Christie loved writing this book the most. Well, to confess even I did enjoy reading this gem the most out of her novels.
Only if there was a series on the lead character Charles just like on Poirot or Marple.
