Looking for some book suggestions where the main character has a disability. Read books like war that saved my life and blind guide to stinkerville. Thanks!

Erin, many people are not familiar with the two books you mentioned. What do you like about them? Do you want books for children, young adults (teens), or older adults?
What mood/tone are you interested in (e.g., serious struggle, angsty, coming of age, funny at times)?

I recommend checking out The Survivors' Club series by Mary Balogh. The first book is The Proposal. These are the stories of six men and one woman, all severely wounded in one way or another during the Napoleonic Wars before ending up convalescing together at the home of the Duke of Stanbrook.

If you're up for historical mystery, the Shardlake books feature a lawyer with a hunchback as the MC. This is my favorite historical series, set during the time of Henry VIII. The first one is Dissolution, but my favorite of the series is Dark Fire.
Are you talking about physical or mental disabilities? Here are some of each.Of Human Bondage by W. Somerset Maugham - MC has a clubfoot
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon - MC is a young person with autism
The Door in the Wall by Marguerite de Angeli - MC loses the use of his legs
A Game of Thrones and series by George R.R. Martin - one of the MCs has an accident which paralyzes him
Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes - MC has an IQ of 68
My Left Foot by Christy Brown - this is an autobiography (so not historical fiction or fiction, but still worth mentioning); author had cerebral palsy
If you're into romance, Never Seduce a Scot, by Maya Banks, has a mostly deaf main female character. She can only hear certain frequencies. I want to read it! :)
Hello Erin, there were a couple of threads with a little more specific requests, but still I guess the suggestions there could do for you too.
