I did find a left hand llama wool hand knitted glove in the pocket of a pair of trousers I last wore when in Peru a few days ago. No idea where the right hand glove is.
I'm happy to smack you with the trousers. Or the glove. Or the wad of tissues I also found. The tissues were crispy.

I have now finished at the office, i get to work the last 3 weeks of my notice at home. Now i really need to find a job!!
Got my father in law coming round tomorrow to help me take down an old shed and put some railway sleepers around my vegetable garden to keep a certain little boy off!!
Hope everyone is ok.

Gotta say you lot are always a tonic to my soul.
You make me laugh and also make me count my blessings when things feel too much.

Will reply properly tomorrow, but I fully agree with this

No, its ok Patti. I'll wait until you find a proper gauntlet. I can live without crispy tissues!

Be careful of using sleepers, Lindsay. Last thing you want in your garden is anything soaked in creosote.

Glad that you don't have to go back to the office Lindsay, good luck with finding a new job. So sorry that you have had a bad week with your parents MT, do hope you get some help soon. So glad OH is so supportive though.

Good luck on the jobsearch, Lindsay - these things are always a trial.
Hope you keep feeling better today, Desley.

Thanks for the warning Patti, luckily these are untreated sleepers so should be fine.
Beautiful day here, gonna be nice out in the garden.

A bunch of my friends are getting together to drink Pimms, eat cucumber sarnies and watch the wedding.
I shan't be joining them.
Funny, there's not a Brit in the bunch. Kiwis, Ozzies and Canucks.

No royal wedding fever here - this is Scotland. Although the wee village of Markle just along the road here have decorated their town sign with a couple of love hearts. Apparently there is also some kind of cup final later as well but I am even less interested in that (if that's possible)

I was quite relieved to be away from the wedding hoo haa but French tv was nothing else last night. Half of it wrong. Princess Meghan etc.
Hope your foots better Desley. Enjoy your gardening Lindsay, chin up Mary, keep going strong girl.

Cheers
MTM
Ps link for anyone who wants it. It's a bit grim. https://mtmcguire.co.uk/2018/05/19/de...

Bless you, thanks. I felt a bit worried replying to one of your mates. It was one of those comments where someone tells you what you're doing wrong when a simple show of support might have worked better.

Good morning.
If it wasn't for my Facebook, I would have been completely unaware of the wedding.
I did manage to to remain completely ignorant of the cup final. I don't even know who played.
Out for dinner tonight. An ex-colleague is in town. I've made Thai fish curry.

Jim said it perfectly MT. Enjoy your dinner Patti

It has been a busy week with eye tests and GP appts. Himself has been referred to both the memory clinic and the neurologist attached to the stroke department (where he's been before) as both mental and physical agility are deteriorating. Apparently there's nothing wrong with his eyesight but he has developed an alarming tendency to drive uncomfortably close to the nearside.
I had half an eye on the wedding while in my current role as maid of all work - I thought I heard Meghan is now also the Countess of Dunbarton? This may explain why our Scottish neighbours had Union Jack bunting around their decking while they were barbecuing.

Sorry that you had an emergency vet visit Lynne, do hope he's OK. Sorry that OH has had to have lots of tests Elizabeth

I can proudly say every scrap of my Thai red curry was eaten, though.
Glad we left early. My head is thumping.

Thanks for the updates on the baby - it has been so tough for all of you.

On second thoughts I’ll just hide his iPad. That’s three times he’s had a video clip with sounds on which has set Billy off barking. It really echoes here. Stone floors no big carpets to muffle it.
To make my life more joyous my big toenail has just fell off after the damage the dog did to it a few weeks ago. He shoved a heavy piece of furniture over it. He jumped from the settee to a footstool and skidded into me, 80 lbs of dog plus Ercol chair, I was lucky he didn’t do more damage. Since I had my op I’ve got screws and a pin in that foot so I try to be careful with it. Sod’s law that’s the one that gets trodden on the most.
All in all I’m not moaning (much). There’s a lot of people with real problems out there. It puts these little niggles into perspective.

What's happened, Lynne?
I think the flat is ready for the shippers to come to do the estimate.
With an hour to spare, even!

I'm on my own for the next two weeks! The girl I have been shadowing is away on holidays. Needless to say, I'm feeling a little lost and bewildered. There's so much to do and I literally have no idea where to start! Going to bed earlier last night might have helped *yawn*
Big hugs Mary, you are doing a great job and your parents are lucky to have you as their daughter. There are many who wouldn't do the half of what you do for them.
I didn't watch the wedding either. I was out getting the kids feet measured and trying to get their hair cut (the place was closed until 2pm and I suspect they just wanted to watch the wedding). Their feet haven't grown so no new shoes needed, well Nathan's have grown half a size but we have a hand-me-down pair of shoes in that size. No hair cut either so I trimmed Nathan's fringe myself, with some success I might add, I only did the bare minimum though, to prevent any disastrous results.
Now I really must get back to work

Dry but no sun here. Just beginning to get a bit stressed by the state of the back garden - seems most companies have their books full. I could buy a strimmer for the grass = we're on a slope so lawn mowing is difficult and I can't manage a hedge trimmer nor can I reach the top of the (cypress) hedge.
I'm with you on being at odds with your OH, Lynnne - I have to remember that himself can't help it but I'm afraid patience isn't my middle name.
How's your house search going, Alicia? If we could up sticks and retire to the sun, I would, but Brexit has left everything so uncertain.
Best wishes to everyone feeling under par for one reason or another.

Now topping out at around 5 metres!

I never have any luck with plants, indoor ones that is. I haven't tried growing outdoor ones before.

Mind you it's the first time in the twelve years since we planted it as a 6 inch baby it's done this.........

We sent the kids in to collect them and the garden is doing well now.

Coolio.

I think we may need a 'challenge GL for a picture' thread.
Go on, GL. Open one.
I dare you.
