Yeah, I don't do diamonds. I'm looking for a nice emerald.
Birks is another good Canadian one.

Good morning! They didnt have loose carrots in the shop so I had to buy a big bag full. Think I'll have to make carrot and ginger soup today or I'll have to bin them.
Catching up on comments and eating cheese melted onto flax bread with real bacon sprinkled on top - only way to go, and the flax makes it all lo-carb. So virtuous.
Stop it. I've not eaten yet.Been shopping, got the soup simmering and a pot of apple filling for tarts on the go. Waiting for margarine to soften for coconut/chocolate cookies. About time I used up the coconut that's been in the cupboard for yonks.

Morning all, hoping for a quiet day, last day in this week, then chemist after work. I prefer carrot and coriander Patti ;)
I thought about doing carrot and coriander but I've got ginger to use up. Would have had to buy coriander.Changed my mind about baking the cookies. Will just do the tarts. Cookies next week.
Morning! Love carrot, apple and celery soup. Yes, I'm weird. Hate coconut. Got a cooking day. Apple cake and truffle filled chocolates. Oh, and something more sensible for tea.
No celery here. Well, sometimes but it costs so much we may as well go out for a full steak dinner.I put some apple juice from cooking the apples in the soup. I find it brings out the sweetness in the carrots. Also, some white beans for body.
Really looking forward to working the next two days. I'll be teaching EAL. My most favourite thing!
I nearly got some bacon & cheese stuffed potato crusts from the reduced counter the other day, until I read the ingredients list and saw "reconstituted bacon".WTF???
Morning all! The new puppy is currently getting us up at 6am, which could be better - I think he's still confused by the hour change last Sunday
Benjamin wrote: "Morning all! The new puppy is currently getting us up at 6am, which could be better - I think he's still confused by the hour change last Sunday"It takes dogs a week or two to adjust. Ours still expect me to be getting up at the old time.

You can grow your own in a 10" pot. Here's how - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJ93S...

Analogue cheese also to be avoided.
Morning everyone.

I do wake up most mornings to the sound of the foster kitten playing, must take the jingly toys out at night!!

Our cats have adjusted quicker, though they're more (alas) liable to wake us with the sound of hairballing
She's precious, Flo.Good morning!
T'was raining when I woke. Seems to have stopped now. Meant to be cooler today. Might need a light jacket.
Morning All!My first official "Good Morning" post as I've only today discovered that November marks my 5th Goodreads-a-versary!
Hope everyone is well :)
Morning all, we have blue skies. Vet visit at 9, then me and 3 neighbours are going to Slatterys, then catsitting. How adorable Flo, my favourite colour as well.
Morning, each. Dashing off soon to the cake club. I've made an apple and pecan cake. It's a tray bake. I fee like Mary Berry when I say that! Catch you all later.
Morning everyone.Blue sky here too (falls over in amazement). The leaves are disappearing from the trees at the back so I s'pose we'll soon be able to see the rest of the housing estate down in the vale. Illusion of splendid isolation gone!
Lovely piccy, Flo. No trick or treat calls here - I think most of the kids are too grown up now - so we're happily chewing our way through the emergency caramels and chocolate eclairs.
I like the sound of that tray bake, Kath.
Morning all. Hope everyone is fit and well. I'm up to my neck in Mailchimp. There ought to be a law against it. If I were a Cabinet Member I'd probably have to resign.
Hi Ams!We expect you make a habit of it now, you know!
Bloody perishing here today. I was on playground duty this morning and damn near froze my tits off. Wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't for the howling wind. Lost count of how many kids I had to send back inside to put a coat on.
One wee munchkin was standing next to a wall in a sleeveless top with blue lips! I had a word with her teacher. Poor thing.
Ominous black clouds coming in over the Caspian now. It's cold enough to snow, I bet.
Supposed to go back up into the 20s in a couple days though, so mustn't bitch too much.
Afternoon all. Well the day started off very promisingly and was sunny - but, sadly, it's deteriorated as the day's gone on. Bob also sang a song called "It's all over now Booby Blue" - was that about your cold lallas Patti?
Thanks for the lovely comments about my lovely Bat-girl all.
(sorry - that should be "Baby" blue)
Been on a course all day. Not sure how, or if, anyone stayed awake - probably won't be able to sleep tonight, and not because my brain will be avidly examining consequences of changes to Top Slicing Relief, or new anti avoidance provisions on Overseas Insurance Policy gains either

Manfred Mann's Earth Band did an excellent cover of that song.
I remember seeing Manfred Mann Chapter Three when I was at uni, rather a long time ago... still got their LP somewhere
Today has taken a distinct turn for the cold. Not that the new puppy seems to care - he's too busy trying to eat the leaves.
Well, a relaxed vet visit, even got a cup of tea, which is a first. Had a lovely afternoon, the two neighbours we took don't go many places so loved it, and we called in Aldi on the way home, was shocking how much more they have to pay locally. Bought my first mince pie of the year, some christmas presents and some honey liquorice. I also had a little cake left, my little * of a cat took it out of my handbag and nibbled it! Clearly tried to get back to normal too quickly, eye was fine till driving back from the vets, although reading was tricky.
