Come and Join in on the fun with our first Objective Challenge Read! This read begins July 6th, and will end September 30th! The goal is to find one book for each objective listed and see how many objectives you can fulfill! I have designed it so that each member's progress is based on how much they want to read. Therefore, there is no set amount of books to read each month, however, at least 2 books should be read a month. And Let's not forget - this is a challenge - so the more books you can read the BETTER! Please Update when you finish a book so that other members can see your progress, keep motivated, and be able to discuss books (though we ask you don't spoil anything)

How it will work:
Each member will copy and paste the list of objectives into a comment in this discussion. When a member completes a book which fulfills an objective, then that person will EDIT their Comment and next to the Objective write the author's name and title of book and Underline them so it stands out from the objective (If you want, you can put a * in front of the Objective as well), and change the number of "books I have read so far" (located right under the list of objectives).

Example:
1. Read Book Published in 2007 Book Title, by: Author

The Goal:
Complete as many objectives as you can within the 3 months we are given. *** Books Should Be At Least 100 Pages in Length!***

Copy and Paste Everything Below:

OBJECTIVES:
1. Read a Book published in 2007
2. Read a Book where story is located outside of U.S.A

Jennifer, I know what you mean! I usually read what ever "feels" right at the time... This will be interesting for sure!

Joanne,
I am starting from the beginning of Pratchett's Discworld series...I have this slight OCD thing where everything has to be in order... :) If you read Good Omens, I hope you enjoy it (I'd feel bad if you thought it was terrible)...

I have completely failed at this group read challenge! But it's not my fault! I started reading the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich and I can't NOT read the next book and because my mother bought 1-19 online - I can literally keep reading and reading and reading (given that my mom has completed the next book). I have read 13 books of the series! Wish they fulfilled more of the objectives.

message 24: by Tina (new)

Tina | 19 comments It's like that sometimes. Perhaps we can do a similar challenge soon and then you'll do better:) The main thing is always to read the books you feel like at the moment.
