Tracy (tracyisreading) | 2573 comments I chose Goodbye, Vitamin, since I just got it in the mail. Also very interested in The Passage. I'd have to look up the dates again, don't know them off the top of my head.

message 3: by Michelle (new)

Michelle | 55 comments I agree, The Passage does look interesting. It was from June of 2010. But I also have my eye on The Madman’s Daughter from February of 2013 or The 5th Wave from May 2013. There are quite a few on the list I will be adding to my tbr list

I really enjoyed The 5th Wave, its good post-apocalyptic YA. The Madmans Daughter has been sitting on my kindle forever.

Jovana (jfreads) I read All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr:
All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

I only gave it 3 stars, which isn't bad but is kind of a disappointment considering all the hype, ya know?

Here's my 2018 TBR!

message 13: by Elise (new)

Elise (theblackhorizon) I read The Cutting Season by Attica Locke:
Estate manager Caren Gray usually hosts weddings and school tours at Belle Vie, one of Louisiana's antebellum plantations. When she discovers the body of a young migrant worker on the grounds, she doesn't trust local police to solve the case, which echoes a century-old crime. Nancy says, "[Locke] writes with a deep understanding of love, family, politics, and race and the South, both past and present."

It was a solid, satisfying mystery, but not as great as her debut novel, Black Water Rising, which I highly recommend.

Anastasia (anastasiaharris) | 1730 comments I picked The Map of Time. It was originally going to be for the book with a map, but it did not have an actual map in it.

It was a good long book that lasted 20 hours of flight time and I own it, so losing it somewhere was not going to be a hardship ;D Not a bad story.
