During my forced "imprisonment" after my thyroidectomy, I've read some interesting books.
The most beautiful of these is definitly Storia sociale dell'arte. Really an interesting overview on all western art history. Maybe a little old, still really interesting

O Pioneers! by Willa Cather. Not a big fan of her writing style, but a good story. Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
And some interesting Oscar Wilde. A poem

Priest Turned Therapist Treats Fear of God: Poems by Tony Hoagland - 5 star (I'd give this book more stars, if I could)

A great collaboration between these two excellent authors!

Interspersed throughout the narrator's story are short vignettes of objects, plants, and animals speaking in the first person to describe all they have lost. The two narrative threads reinforce each other to emphasize the trauma of a nation in a powerful evocation of the collateral damage caused by a war.
