It wasn't another edition, but rather a duplicate copy. So I feel it is better to delete the book then Merging it.

It got "deleted". Merge means to delete into another copy. If there aren't too many adds (<5) a regular librarian can do it so it doesn't need to be on this particular thread. So she took care of it instead of it waiting on a Super. (while waiting for system caching it may look like it's combined but it will disappear soon-ish)

I have separated two identical editions of Tove Jansson's Det osynliga barnet (one had been created with the isbn 10 and the other with the corresponding isbn 13). Please delete Det osynliga barnet and combine Det osynliga barnet back with Tales from Moominvalley.
#749 done#750 that link is for the hardcover edition, with a valid isbn. The hardcover edition with this isbn is on Amazon. The edition you've added is for the paperback edition, with a different isbn. No reason to delete one.
#751-755 not done, as there is no merge target for these duplicates. A duplicate has to be combined with the valid edition to be merged (=deleted)
Also, please don't move valid data (like isbn or asin). Removing or changing isbn or asin is not allowed.
When isbn10 is on one edition and isbn13 on another, please link to both editions, as moving makes it only more difficult to determine if the merge is valid.

#789 and #859 no it doesn't just thought there would be a rule that in case of books that GR doesn't consider as valid we should merge into the last(or first? wasn't 100% sure about that but last seems more logic for the shelvings) part of the series so that the shelvings don't get lost.But I may confuse that with I don't know what..
And for the reviews that probably wouldn't be the best target, although it might not be the worst for the shelvings but, my fault didn't think about the reviews.
