Urgh - quoting the Express! On another forum I'm on, somebody was having a right rant at Southgate for not using all his 4 subs up to the end of extra time. When somebody pointed out that Southgate did indeed use all his subs, the poster in question said that he'd got his info from a match report in the Express!
Well, I could of linked to the Liverpool Echo if that would have been any better for you, Rob? - but I couldn't manage to get the Web Page to load properly in order to get to read the article first and so I went with the Express instead ;o>

anyhoo, watching this pile o' pish the noo, and as rob inferred, england are a maverick away from being contenders - paul gascoigne would have been a great fit (one of the most skillful players i ever saw at rugby park), but they only come along periodically and bring their own kind of disruption with them, which would take things too far away from the 'manual' for southgate. probably!

that was a load of old keech! england found very wanting, belgium cut through them like a knife thru' lager. they couldn't have scored in a free brothel on coupon day!

yeh Tech, it's amazing how well you can do with a fairly moderate players BUT playing in a solid, trusted system(at last). Plenty there to build upon :/Unfortunately at the moment we don't have good enough back-up players in the squad, when Rashford/Loftus-Cheek/Vardy can't even manage to dislodge the woeful Sterling!!!
Although do watch out if those back-up players do start coming through! :)

Well done France. This was the best World Cup tournament that I can ever remember, highly enjoyable bar England getting knocked out.
I've rather enjoyed watching as well although, to be honest, it didn't really matter all that much to me as to who won in the end. It's been the first time that I've chosen to sit and watch all by myself instead of it being because I was with someone who really wanted to watch it - and I am now looking forward to the next World Cup ;o>

I haven't much of a clue as to what major Matches are played out and when? So the Euro's are going to be held in 2020 then? ;o>
