LOL Stephen King rules your spook shelves ! 🎃

Congrats, Elyse!
Really like that you have a mix of lighter reads (like graphic novels) along with some audiobooks - it helps me a lot to start and get on with reading during the readathon!

Need to check the desktop for your TBR…"
Yeah covers don't load on my phone app either. So annoying.

Thanks Lamilla! I like having a good variety, even if I end up only reading one big book! Which never happens anyway. lol

And yay, Sandman! That reminds me that I need to select a Neil Gaiman for the readathon. I've done all the Sandman now. Trying to convince my youngest that he should read The Graveyard Book.

And y..."
I don't love the Dark Tower series. Every book has taken an age for me to get through and I haven't really enjoyed them. lol. Hence why I haven't touched one since 2018!
I am excited for Sandman however! I haven't read The Graveyard Book either but I think I own it.

I have a few Stephen King books on my TBR stacks too this month. I started Dreamcatcher this week, and want to finish Cujo later this month. I read all the ones you chose for October. I really enjoyed the Dark Tower series, though it got bogged down a bit in the middle for me.

I might join you with Gaiman this time, Leni. That is, if I succeed in getting Neverwhere from my old flat

It's wonderful to hear your pregnancy is going well, and that you're at 29 weeks (or almost). Before you know it, your little bundle of joy will be here! See you Saturday!

I love King as well. Want to read his Mr Mercedes series and have Holly to read later, also was in a Dark Tower re-read of the series and need to get back to that eventually
I would think Cycle of the Werewolf would be a nice eye break since I'm assuming you have graphic novel and image version

I've seen the Dreamcatcher movie but still have to read the book. I read Cujo for a previous Kingtober Dewey's, it was good but not as scary as I thought it would be! I don't generally find animals to be scary in books. I need monsters. lol.

Thank you Ann! The baby has quite the start on his own little library! We asked for books instead of cards for the baby shower and many people gave more than one book, he's probably got over 50 now!! And we haven't bought any ourselves!

Awesome! I've been trying to read it for awhile and I'm really hoping to be inspired to grab it on Saturday but you know how reading moods go! lol

I did start planning early but have done no planning since that post. lol. And it's now just days away! But I'm too tired to plan anything else so the rest will just be winging it.
I enjoyed the Mr. Mercedes trilogy. It's very dark. I read

I watched the two seasons of the show
I ordered the paperbacks off thriftbooks but cannot find them!!! So these may be ebook library borrows if available. How annoying. I am not sure where I put them lol. I did read The Outsider earlier in the year. I got Holly but don't want to read under Mr Mercedes trilogy first.

Looks great on the snacks and such! I am doing my quick shopping tomorrow. Still not sure on dinner and such yet. Looks like you have it all planned out drinks and food wise.

I made it easy on myself with pizza! lol.

I'm excited to start reading Holly on Sunday! But if I feel in the mood, I'll start it tomorrow. teehee.

I'm also going out tonight but I did just finish one of my books! I've got 2 hours before I have to leave but I won't be out late, bunch of moms and me, the mom-to-be. lol. But I definitely want to be in bed by 10pm.

I was hoping to finish four books this week and have finished....zero LOL. But oh well!! Hope we both enjoy our evening out :)

I'm home and exhausted (much fun though!) so I'm going to finish my book and go to bed! See y'all tomorrow!

Wizard and Glass is slow-going. I have a big paperback but it's still 672 pgs and the font is not large! Even The Green Mile paperback is big with small font and 465 pgs. Throwing in a graphic novel each block helps my page count. And my eyes! lol. Heading to read in bed now which means I won't last much longer but I will hop on the treadmill for a half hour first.

I didn't walk on the treadmill. My bed beckoned and I obeyed. I read The Green Mile until 1:30am and then went to bed till 9:45am. Got my 8 hours of sleep since I didn't get up to finish out the readathon so I'm happy. lol

Overall, with 2 King chunksters, I'm happy with my readathon stats! I didn't end up listening to anything! I didn't take any breaks until sleep. I did 10 of the 12 sprints. I joined a handful of discussions. I posted a handful of photos throughout the readathon on Instagram (http://www.instagram.com/winesaboutbooks). I'm really enjoying The Green Mile and Wizard and Glass is not unbearable. lol. I'll be starting a buddy read of Holly today as well.

Yeah, I'm ready to snuggle on the couch under a pile of blankets and nod off! lol. Hoping that *doesn't* happen but we'll see.
