**FIRST ROUND SIGN-UPS ARE CLOSED**

Teams will be announced soon.

Any new sign-ups will be 'reserves" and you will be assigned a team as it becomes available.

Thanks!

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Hello :) I tend to be a bit OCD on rules so I have a few questions.

If we get the word CRIME for example. And people read the C, R and M letters. Then someone reads another C. Can we use that towards spelling the word a second time assuming we finish the I and E before the end of the week or must we finish all letters before starting on spelling it again.

Also, Is it when we finish a book that counts? i.e. weeks start Saturday night. If you start reading Friday night and finish Sunday morning does that book count towards that week or must you start after Saturday night?

I don't know the answer to your first question, but for question 2, I believe the mods said that it's ok as long as the book is finished after we get our spins.

Hi Kelly!

yes you could use the C the second time provided you finished the word at some point during the week,
and Jaclyn is right that it is the date that the book is finished that counts :)

No secret groups as there isn't any info that needs to be hidden and we found people like to visit other teams, so we are keeping everything just out in the open :)

Hi Nadia. I've got you "on the bench" so that if we lose some players (which can happen whe RL gets in the way) I will assign you to a team. It could be a few days, so feel free just to drop in and say hello to teams i the meantime!

message 232: by ✿Claire✿ (new)

✿Claire✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments Hi, I have a quick question. If the book we're reading has a title which starts with a number, can we use the first letter of the number spelt out? For example 24 Bones, could we use T as the letter or would it have to be B?

Thank you :)

message 233: by Karen ⊰✿, Fiction Aficionado (new)

message 236: by Christine (new)

Christine (inhalesbookslikepopcorn) | 1052 comments Question: do we have to start and finish in the week or can it be that we've started books before 13.07. and just finish them in the week to count?

message 237: by Karen ⊰✿, Fiction Aficionado (new)

Karen ⊰✿ | 16606 comments Mod
It is here Kathy: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Just the finished "read" date that counts Christine. They can be started at any time

message 238: by ~Leslie~ (new)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 2240 comments Mods, I listed a book as currently reading last night, but actually didn't start it until this morning. Wasn't thinking about the challenge when I did it. Silly me. Can I count the book and change the date started?

Hi Leslie - the start date doesn't matter so you're fine ; it is only the finished "read" date that counts :)

message 247: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments How big of a character in the book does it have to be to count? Does it have to be main enough to be listed on the goodreads character list for the book?

message 248: by Karen ⊰✿, Fiction Aficionado (last edited Jul 12, 2014 08:06PM) (new)

Karen ⊰✿ | 16606 comments Mod
No Kelly, I'm happy to accept any character (as GR doesn't always list characters at all!), but it should be a character that has some dialogue... not just a goldfish called goldie that is mentioned once in the book if you know what I mean ;)

edit - sorry just saw Mary HDLS posted the same question - apologies for the delay!
