SOLVED. A first person view of a man trapped in a fox's body [s]

It was a book I read at least 4 years ago, It was about a man who finds himself trapped in a fox's body, and it is all told from his perspective, that's about all I can remember! It would be greatly appreciated if someone could please help me find out the name or author of this novel

Moon of Three Rings has a man trapped in the body of an alien creature that is fox like. The story alternates between his viewpoint and the viewpoint of the Moonsinger who moved him into the body to save his life.

Was the book old or new at the time you read it? How did you find it? How did you read it? Where did you get it from?

Sorry this is not the book, I was a little excited though, moon of three rings looks pretty good, but I do not believe that this is the book, I found the book in my school library, the cover was blue if I can remember with a faded picture of a fox, the copy of the book I was reading was fairly new. It was a mystery I think, I remember something about a murder or something I don't know. but thanks for the help and I'll have to read that Moon of Three Rings

Hm. The first one I thought of was Kij Johnson's The Fox Woman but that's obviously not a man. Do you remember how he became trapped in a fox's body?

I remember that the book started off with him, or it could've been a her, already in the fox's body, I keep thinking that someone is trying to kill the person or has killed him and that's why he/she is in the fox's body, I'm not sure if that's exactly what happened, but that is all I can remember
