"This one always sounded really good to me. I love her dad's books, James Lee Burke's Dave Robichaux series. I graduated from Wichita State and James Lee Burke taught therearse before I attended and in the first two years that I was there, if memory serves me correct.
I'd like to nominate The Broken Shore by Peter Temple. I love the Hornets Nest series and Tana French, but I've read those. Peter Temple is also the author of the Jack Irish series
Just deleted my nomination Brenda - realised it was by the same author as the September book. Will have a look for something else :)

We are doing something a little different for 2017 monthly reads. Starting with January's read we are working our way backward in publication years :)
So - nominate a crime/mystery/thriller/suspense book which was published in 2007 for our October read. True crime or cosy mysteries are included in this :)
NOTE: Only the beginning of a series (if a series) please :)
This thread will be open until 13th September, then our nominations will go to the vote:) Good luck and have fun!
Authors and publishers, please don't nominate your own work!
