I'm on Basil and I'm also amazed. I'm definitely the lowest reading level of our group. Especially impressed with Alaina's reading speed. This is her first team challenge, she's always done solo before.

A question:
My buddy read buddy dropped the book we were reading... she only made 1 comment on the thread for the buddy read (and it was to say she wasn't enjoying the book and would drop it).

I had already made 2 comments about the book on the thread... there's no point in continuing commenting the book on the thread since I won't be getting the Buddy Read Points, right?

Actually, you'll get the points for the buddy read even if you end up reading it alone (as long as you make comments enough on the thread)

I was gonna buddy read on the 20th of August. I read two chapters in August, but restarted the book a couple days ago (Sep. 2nd or 1st). I haven't made any comments in the thread, except for saying that I was gonna start the book. Can I still comment on the buddy read and count the points or will I need to set up a new buddy read for that? Thanks :)

No, you still have to write a review or post status updates on the book.

You can either use 4 status updates about the book (not just the percentages) or a review. It's up too you which you prefer. If you're doing a buddy read though, you'll still need to link to a review/updates.

You have to have both. Your status updates are separate from the buddy read so you'll link to your review page which will have the status updates and you also link the buddy read so they can see your comments.
