Yes its pretty good reading. And mostly we've all enjoyed our books, which is the main thing, apart from finding new stuff to read & adding to our tbr piles.

Ah true. I found a few books I could read, but I've already planned
for a few audios' time, so I'll be reading that one in around 5 days.
Maddison, I presume you mean the Kate Atkinson book? Sounds very different and very appropriate for Halloween :)
Yeah sorry just edited my post.I'm only read it because it's a buddy, and I signed up for it because it was available at my library XD Now it's actually worth something which is awesome.

Louise, that author has been very popular for this shelf, so I'll be interested in what you think of her writing.

Wow! It was a slow start....a slow middle.... but once it pick up it flew! I say poor Riley, but I also wanted to smack her quite a few times. You've heard of hell-in-a-hand-basket, and that's what she got. Her father was stolen, and no one knows by who, her relationship with Simon has tanked, Beck is over doing the big brother gig, and Ori...oh, Ori. He totally suckered me in on that one too.
So many twists and turns! You know life is messed up when you can't tell if Heaven or Hell is on your side!
How's everyones' reading going for Magical Realism?I'm about 35% done with
& hoping to finish it today, if not, it'll be tomorrow :)
I've got about 30 pgs left but my eyes are falling out of my head, and its shelf morning for me tomorrow. So I might or might not have my review up by shelf call, if not it'll be soon after.I'm just at the exciting bit and don't want to ruin it. LOL

This being the 6th book in the series, there has been a lot of world-building and I don't recommend anyone starting anywhere but at the beginning.
Peter, is a Detective Constable (apprentice Wizard), his Inspector is Nightingale (a Wizard), and that's it for the Magical division known as the Folly. There are various characters who get seconded from time to time, in this instance it was Sahra Guleed, who is a very capable Detective who isn't especially happy to be assisting Peter, but does whatever she can to help. Peter's magic & his science based technology (magic usually blows up phones, cars, anything electronic) continues to improve and is becoming a real asset to the Folly.
We are once again looking for/trying to arrest The Faceless Man, a dangerous opponent of Nightingale, and it transpires that Lesley May (former cop of the Folly) has hooked up with TFM, following her tragic accident, so she is also to be arrested if possible.
I find it extremely funny that Peter gets blamed whenever something goes wrong, when its usually the bad guys blowing up buildings, killing suspects, abducting teenagers and trying to kill Peter repeatedly.
This one starts with Lady Ty (Goddess of the River at Tyburn Hill) requesting Peter quietly get her daughter out of trouble. The trouble being another teen's drug overdose death in the posh part of London. Peter hasn't got a hope in hell of doing so.
We actually finally find out who the Faceless Man is, but never fear intrepid magical crime fans, he escapes just like Moriarty to torment our good guys in future episodes.
Yes, lots & lots & lots.So my recommendation is to find a book you want to read & check to see if its on the shelf by looking at the top shelves on the book page.
Apparently there are lots of uf or pnr books on the shelf if you don't want to read a science fiction book.
I'm having internet issues with my computer right now. I have someone checking it out today so hopefully I can look at books later. I only have my phone
