In Charles Stross' Accelerando, part of it happens on a generational ship of sorts. But people's minds are downloaded in the ship instead of the actually travelling physically on such a ship.
If you can read French, Bernard Weber's Le papillon des étoiles is about a generational ship and the people on it.

Definitely a generational ship novel, start to finish.
