#69 This isn't the proper thread for your request, as it actually is a book that you wrote. A new thread in this folder for book issues would be more appropriate as it would be better to correct the mistake than to delete the book. The ebook edition you asked to delete has a truncated ISBN, cover image or not. What is the full ISBN13?

...has been added to my author profile, and it is not mine. It is so very, very not mine. Just the subject matter being associated with me is harmful to my name -- can I get it removed as soon as possible?
And further, is there some way of preventing this happening again, with this particular author? He only writes these hateful misogynistic pieces, it's his whole thing. I don't want his next terrible screed touching my profile, even for an instant. It's very damaging. Please advise, and thank you.

You are currently the first profile for this name and automatic imports go to the first profile. But if they change your profile to be the second profile, imports of new books by you will go to the first profile and need to be moved to your profile.

Hi! I'm new here, so I hope I'm in the right place! I read through things for a while, and this seemed to be correct.I'm starting to set up my author profile by linking myself to my book (it's my first, I'm very excited!) There is another, more prolific author with the same name as me, so it has asked me to confirm that I am Judith Klausner, author of ALL of the books by both of us. The instructions suggested I contact a GoodReads librarian to set things straight, so...here I am! I do not yet have a profile page to ask to have them removed from because the system hasn't let me get that far.
(Also, the list of necessary information keeps disappearing? It seems to be a weird formatting thing.) Anyhow, I am Judith Klausner, Author of Noah the Narwhal, A Tale of Ups and Downs (but not any of the other books.) I'm happy to provide any information needed. Thank you!

Thank you. But that profile is also mine -- I'm not sure why that is. It only holds a few shorts that I have since pulled from publication, maybe that's why? Anyway, I don't think this other author has a profile yet. He would need an entirely new one for this book.

Yes, that's correct. The other 4 titles on that profile (the Day of Knowing stuff; they were short stories, web only, since pulled -- not sure why they're even counted) were mine. The short stories can be deleted as far as I'm concerned, or moved to my actual profile if that's not an option. I just don't want my titles appearing alongside the Men's Rights book. Thanks!

I've moved them to your profile; Goodreads policy is to keep all published editions/covers so users can shelve the editions they have.
You can post here again if you need something moved from your profile; as Renske said, your profile is the default, meaning that when books by an author that might happen to have your same name are imported, they'll go to your profile automatically and you'll have to ask to have them moved. To prevent this, you could contact support and ask to be moved to the Robert^^Brockway profile instead, meaning you'd need to ask for your imported editions to be moved to your profile, instead of the other way around. Make sense? :)
