I believe (depending on the situation obviously) unless it is morally wrong that ethics is more important than science as it was here before science and originally proposed by a the scientist Aristotle himself.

Without science, we would all be stuck in the middle ages customs, like how they thought that bathing makes them sick or how they thought that aborted fetuses are good contraceptives.
