Maybe, but unless the dice come up with 10 so we move to 18 because the Charley Davidson books do not have alternative series number options. However, maybe it will work the week after or the one after that. As I technically now have it for the next 21 days.

Review ~ This is a very interesting modern day vampire series. They dynamics between characters such as Merit and Ethan, Mallory and Catcher, are hot and often steamy, but multi-leveled. While the dynamics between characters that would just be considered friends are just as dynamic without the hot and steamy parts except in some cases the hot but then it is just a bit say "hot under the collar" kind of hot. This book is filled with some twists, less than other in the series, but some, as well as drama, and a lot of action. Even after more than eight books, I have read in the series I still am enjoying them, and look forward to more.

Alison (Lady Coffin) S | 2318 comments Ok gals..... So, I just got home from spending the evening in the ICU with one of my best friends, expected you all to have posed completion posts.
Then I could do mine, then update, and I could do the roll. Guess that needs to wait, sure hope you all had your books completed before midnight. I need the ALL reviews before I can roll.

**VERY IMPORTANT**
A team can NOT advance if all reviews are not in by the deadline.
That being said, players need to have their reviews in latest by Friday. Technically, a review isn't late until after Thursday 11:59p. But your team captain cannot roll until ALL of the team reviews have been posted.

I wish Mercy had been a little meaner to Christie but otherwise, I loved the book. I hope we get to see more of Coyote and Gary Laughingdog in future books. Ben was weirdly missing in this one. He always seems to be one of the wolves helping Mercy and Adam with whatever trouble is happening and he's barely mentioned in this one.

Review:
Wow! I didn't really know what to expect when I picked this book. It was basically the first one that I came across that had a cover to fit our task this week.
Cole and his best friends Sasha and Derrick are having a good time at Derrick cousins party, as any college age boys would be doing. Once it's time to leave the party Cole realizes that he should have remained sober because he was the DD, so they will have to wait awhile before leaving. Sasha assures him that he was fine to drive, so the three friends head out.

What happens next is any person's, especially a parent, nightmare.

Now, Cole has to learn how to get on with his life, and after all he has lost, including himself, he is having a hard time. The one person that he feels will understand is the one person he is too guilt ridden to even talk to.

I am glad I found this novella, before I found the first book in the series because this will definitely make me understand the actions of the characters better once I get to that book, which I most definitely will be doing.

Alison (Lady Coffin) S | 2318 comments Yes, me also.
They did a CT scan for clots on her lungs but showed no clot. So that is good, but it was also an understood and logical with a known course of action. Now they are back to trying to figure out what else it could be. She is one of those people that unfortunately seems to have things that are 1 in every million patients. So makes her a lot harder to diagnosis.
Thanks for the healing thoughts.

Alison (Lady Coffin) S | 2318 comments Moondance wrote: "Does standalone work as well since there is a 1?"

Yes, my bad

HOW TO PICK A BOOK:
✸ Books are based on the spot you're on not the roll of the die.
If you land on single digit spot for example let’s say you land on spot 5 then you have to read a book that's #5 in a series. For double digit numbers, for example you land on spot 48 you can read either a #4 or a #8 in a series.
Standalone books can be used for a 1 or a 0
First in a series can be used for a 1
✸I don't expect anyone to read a series out of order and for people that don't read series books that still want to play there will be an alternate option. There will be an alternate option for each spot.
Half books: ½ or .5 count only if they meet the page requirement AND will be judged by preceding whole number numeral on goodreads.
Example: Spot 8: A MacKenzie Clan Gathering (MacKenzies & McBrides, #8.5) would count for spot 8 because it meets the page limit.
✸ Books in multiple series can be used for ANY of the series. An example: Azagoth (1001 Dark Nights, #6; Lords of Deliverance, #5.5; Demonica, #10.5) can be used for spot 6 for 1001 Dark Nights, spot 5 for LoD or spot 10 for Demonica because it meets the page limit.

Review ~ Lets see, to start I loved the original three Poison Study books when I first found them years ago, and in subsequent readings. Had no idea they were considered Young Adult until I got on Goodreads. I have also read the spin off Glass Series, or in-between books depending on if we look at the Study numbering or the he Chronicles of Ixia numbering, Now I am excited to read the continuation of the tales in the Soulfinder series.
I really like Yelena, hated Valek thru most if not all of the first book. Now Also love him, and understand him so much better.
Ari and Janko, are comic relief, as I think Leif is often. May of the others fill lots of different niches in her life.
This book is a progression of the story with some side adventures. Because unfortunately even after you catch the bad guys you often end up either dealing with more or somehow they or a loved one chooses to retaliate or "get even" and then that adds to the tale. I have to say I had started to like the Commander, but I am seriously re-thinking that after this books. However....... as much as this book basically starts with a bang, I think what got me most was the final phrase in this book. I so wish I could say it but talk about major spoiler.
This is an Author I would highly recommend to anyone liking fantasy and a few other genres. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Oh, and a final comment, it is not necessary to read the Sea Glass books between this as you can see when you look at the series numbering, BUT I highly recommend you do, or many of the characters and how they now fit will not mesh well for you.

I went to his fan forum looking for an update and discovered that a lot has been going on in his life. Apparently he got divorced, engaged, married and moved across the country. They are building a new house and with all that going on, he is having trouble finding a place to write. Current expectation is for the book to be released this fall/winter (2017) assuming there are no more roadblocks in his life.

Review:
If it weren't for the fact that I had read the other books in this series and I wanted to know how this trio's story was going to conclude, I would have stopped more than half way in.

Alas, that wasn't the case, and in the end I am glad I stuck it out.

After everything they have been through, this left me wondering why do these men love Raine, and why does she love them, well Hammer at least. (I have loved Liam from the beginning and felt he sometimes got the short end of the stick.)

I can say that both of the guys opened up more in this book. We finally got a better understanding of Hammer when he shared his past, and more insight into Liam once meeting him family.

I don't think the addition of the paranormal?? element added much to the story, that must have just been for page filler. Still, I didn't totally hate it either, just wish if it was going to be used it should have been used sooner, and some of the things they had been through would have been avoided.

At the end I was glad to see that things worked out, even though we are left wondering which guy she would legally marry, and I am looking forward to seeing Seth, Heavenly, and Beck's story as River, Pike, and their mystery woman's story. Maybe Dean's at some point also.
