message 4: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) I do believe our team got the best name out of the bunch!

I'd love it if y'all would pray for me- I have final exams today. It'll be my first time taking a college examination!

message 5: by Gene (new)

Gene Jr. (genebrodejr) I just joined the blogger group and got the team message. I'm not participating, but I checked out this thread to see what it was. I'll pray for your finals today Seneca. Do great!

message 6: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Definitely praying for you, Seneca! Glad to be on the team with you. :)

message 7: by Caitlyn (new)

Caitlyn Santi | 811 comments Hello ladies! So excited to be on this team with you! Praying for you, Seneca! :D

message 8: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments I think Seneca is correct...best.name.ever!
Prayers for your testing today!

message 9: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) Thanks everyone!!! I'm back. :)

message 10: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments How did it go?!

message 11: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) Questionable as of yet. XD I'm a HS freshman, and it was an upper level college class final examination from one of the "tough" teachers- but, apart from that, I think I did alright. Definitely not perfect, but alright.

message 12: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments You know, the fun thing is that everyone on the team is already a friend of mine here on GR. :)

message 13: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) Lucky Hannah. :)
Although I trust we will all be friends by the time this is over!

message 14: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments :D
I started Barefoot Summer (Chapel Spring, #1) by Denise Hunter for my boat book.

message 15: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Hey girls! Great to be grouped with you!

When each challenge comes out, let's see if we can decide on which item everyone has a book for. We'll definitely have to work together, so communication will be key.

Can't wait to get started!

(Bess, if you want to use that book for boat, make sure to not finish it until the category gets called. :)) btw, I loved that book!

message 17: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments I have a lot of owned books, so this should be a good way to get through them! :)

message 18: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments That's what I was thinking too, Hannah.

message 19: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments Melaine, I thought the category was called....? Now I'm confused.....
:/

message 20: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments Ooooooh, it was an "example!!" Oops! :D

message 21: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) Your favorite quote is from Milady DeWinter, Bess? *screams and runs in terror*

Just kidding. Which is it? :)

Not favorite but I do like it. :)
Come back.......

message 25: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) Which quote of hers do you like?

message 26: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Looks like round one is started! Bess, looks like your book for boat will work. Who else is currently reading something that works for a category?

message 27: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) I'll do location- I'll find something.

message 28: by Caitlyn (last edited May 04, 2017 05:28AM) (new)

Caitlyn Santi | 811 comments The book I'm currently reading will work for Sleeping Accommodations, but I also have a book that will work for Souvenir Item in case someone else isn't able to find one for Souvenir Item. :D

message 29: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments The book Andrea is reading has a t-shirt on the cover.

So we're missing dessert. Argh. That's the only category I'm not reading something that would work!!

message 30: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) I could do t-shirt- but no hope for the dessert. I'll look, though.

message 31: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Okay, got one.
All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes by Betsy St. Amant

message 32: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Seneca, did you want to do location or the t-shirt? Either is fine with me.

message 33: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments I won't post this every round (unless y'all want me to).

Our reviews are due on or before 5/17/17, on the following thread. Please use the example there as a guide for how to submit your review.

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Hannah, I'm so sorry for having repeated your list! Will delete mine momentarily. I must have been working on mine while you were posting yours. :)

message 35: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Okay. Will retype it. :)

message 36: by Andrea (new)

message 40: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Thanks, Melanie!

message 41: by Caitlyn (new)

Caitlyn Santi | 811 comments Looking great everybody! Hope we all enjoy our books! :D

message 42: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Right there with you on that wish, Caitlyn! :)

message 43: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Well, well. Couldn't find where I stashed the book I meant to read. Instead, I will be reading The Anonymous Bride (Texas Boardinghouse Brides, #1) by Vickie McDonough , which has a pie on the cover.

message 44: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments I love All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes by Betsy St. Amant . It was cute!

message 45: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments 50% on mine. I'm glad it's turning out to be a quick read!

message 46: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Hannah, I think I have that trilogy. Is book one good so far?

message 47: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Bess, I'm glad to hear that about Cupcakes, because it's in my tbr!

message 48: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Andrea wrote: "Hannah, I think I have that trilogy. Is book one good so far?"

Yes...nothing weird thus far! :)

message 49: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) One question- these books don't have to be Christian fiction, do they? Just realized I may have gotten myself into more than I thought...

message 50: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Hannah, that's great news!

Seneca, no they don't. If you read one that has objectionable material in it, you may want to say something like "not for everyone" or "general market" when you post the link to your review in our review thread. Also, I don't think covers with racy pictures would be appropriate in this group, so try to avoid those. Thanks!
