Round Three
Location: Antarctica - Andrea
Transportation: Bicycle - Bess
Souvenir: Mug - Hannah
Nourishment: Water - Caitlyn
Sleeping Accomodations: ? - ?
Seneca, when you're able, please let us know if you can do the sleeping accommodations book this round. Thank you!
I'm reading
now and may be finished in time for the sleeping accommodations if Seneca doesn't get back...
Sorry again, everyone. We missed our flight and are now stuck in LHR. I'm staring at a dying phone and a kindle that appears devoid of sleeping accommodations. The next flight is over 24 hours away, and the change of tickets is $300 a piece. There's a lot of us in my family. :(
Seneca, do you have a book for the location (Antarctica) in your Kindle? I'm cool with switching with you if you like. Here's what this round says about the location:--1#Location
Antarctica
Read a book using one of the following options:
-Title starts with one of the letters in Antarctica (articles [a, an, the] do NOT count)
-Part of the story takes place in Antarctica
-Cover features snow or ice
-Author's First or Last Name initial starts with one of the letters in COLD.
Seneca, did you check the Project Gutenburg site for a book like that? Most of theirs come in kindle format, if you have wifi at the airport...
Wifi is stuttery at best. I waited for about ten minutes for this page to load. I'm so terribly sorry!!! I promise to pick up a few books later to make up for it.
....these are some examples...they may not have the cover with the file in all cases, but the books are taken from these editions. All of these were good books! :)
Seneca wrote: "Wifi is stuttery at best. I waited for about ten minutes for this page to load. I'm so terribly sorry!!! I promise to pick up a few books later to make up for it."Seneca, you're fine! Not all of the teams have five people, so you can just hop in when you can. :)
No worries, Seneca. Let us know when you get back home, and we'll be happy to hand over a category again. We'll cover for you in the meantime. :) Enjoy the rest of your trip!
I hope so. At the moment it can't be called enjoyable. I'm supposed to be home tomorrow... but not anymore!
Unexpected delays can be troublesome, but maybe there's a bright side. Will it allow you more time to read than you would normally have? Is it giving you an opportunity to be a light for God in someone's life who you wouldn't normally cross paths with? I'm sure God is right there with you through this unexpected delay. Trust that His plan is good even when it doesn't go the way we think it should.
Seneca, don't worry. Just get yourself home safe and sound. There will be plenty of books on our world traveling!! :D
Hey everybody!I am a little over halfway finished with my Water book (Which is only 215 pages so I will hopefully have it finished either tonight or tomorrow!)
I also just finished a book that would work for sleeping accommodations, which I would be happy to use for the challenge if you want. The last thing I want to do is to make Seneca feel like I'm stepping on her toes or anything like that. I just wanted to let you guys know that I have one in the bag for that task if we want, all I have to do is write a review and get it posted!
Either way is totally fine with me, just let me know which you guys would prefer for me to do! :)
Caitlyn, thanks for letting us know. I'm cool with you posting your review for Sleeping Accommodations. What do you other gals think?
It sounded to me as if Seneca needed to take a break this time and catch up with us next round, but I might have misunderstood.
I've got about 25% left in my Location book, by the way. Been making pretty steady progress on it lately.

Is everyone okay with Caitlyn putting in the review for a book she's already finished for #5, along with her book for #4? She has graciously offered to do that for us.
Great job, Caitlyn! We're making fantastic progress quickly this round, y'all. So proud of us!Update:

Wow, I'm the one dragging this week. Sorry ladies!! I worked pretty much all weekend on reimaging the work computer. Thank the good Lord, I got some diving intervention last night that fixed the last bits of the mess!! I'm working on the book!! I'm still hoping to finish today. :D
Bess, I don't think you're "dragging." We've all read our books really fast this round, including you. No worries here. :)Update:

Hey, Bess, just checking in with you. Do you think this weekend will be good for finishing up your book? Is it a good one so far? It's got an adorable cover!
I'm at 62%. It is a cute read but lengthy. It's not the page turners I'm used to...I'll be finished today for sure. Thanks everyone for your patience with me!! HUGS!!
Bess, it's no problem. I hope the final 38% flies by for you. We were way ahead of schedule, so we have plenty of time left. Happy reading and hugs right back to you! :)

Yay! Praise the Lord for safe travels! Seneca, welcome home! I'm glad you'll be back for the next round. We should be getting that relatively soon.
Ladies the round was posted early:ROUND Four

--3#Souvenir Item
-Jewelry*
*can be found in book's text or on cover
--4#Nourishment
-Hot beverage (coffee, tea... just the mug would work)*
*must be found on book cover
--5#Sleeping accommodations
-Some type of building, house, tent, cave, etc.*
*must be found on book cover
Round Four ends 6/28/17, reviews for books need to be posted in their team's review thread by then.
Thanks for posting this, Bess! Okay, team I have books that would work Sleeping Accommodations and Nourishment (as long as a teacup would work) which are both fairly short so I could have them read quickly. I also have one that would work for location but it's a longer one so might take me longer to get read because of having to squeeze it in around review books. Just let me know which of these three tasks you ladies would like me to take! :)
No worries, Bess. :) Been a busy day for me. I appreciate your help.Bess, Hannah, Seneca, what categories work best for y'all?
I have books up next on my list that would work for:
Location (London in the Dark or Bon Appetit)
Sleeping Accommodation (A Noble Groom [barn] or Hearts Made Whole [lighthouse])
Souvenir (An Awakened Heart [brooch])
Caitlyn, I think a teacup should count since it was stated that "just the mug" would be admissible.
