Els (els-the-epical) Oh no! I would never read something like that. I just mostly read really old books- classics and non fiction. (and I avoid objectionable material like the plague. I've picked up a few by accident, though- *winces*) That's why I'll have trouble with the "picture" ones, although I do have a few with buildings/food/clothing/transportation on their covers as well.

message 52: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Not a problem, Seneca. I understand that accidental objectionable material. Been there a few times myself.

Anytime there is a task you can't do, we can trade tasks with each other (surely someone else in our team will have access to a book that will work for whichever tasks might give one of us an issue), and there's also two swaps per round, I think, for which we may choose to read a book a player or moderator has rated 3 stars or higher.

(Melanie, correct me if I've misunderstood that swap rule, please.)

Andrea, you're correct with the swap. :))

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Thanks, Melanie. :)

message 55: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments I finished my book. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
I posted in the review section also. : )

message 56: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) I think I'll just be doing Ezekiel, as I was finishing it up for personal worship anyway, and I'm really busy packing right now. By the way, I won't have internet for the next round- I'll be globe trotting for my sixteenth birthday. So one of you will have to take my place.

message 57: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Seneca, thanks for letting us know. We will get that other book fit in.

message 58: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Seneca, does Ezekiel have over 100 pages? That's one of the requirements for this game. If it does not, do you have another book you can read for the location?

message 59: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) Yes, it does- but I realized that I could also finish up The Blythes are Quoted so I think I shall be doing that one.

message 60: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Okay, just making sure we were on the right track. Thanks for touching base, girl. :)

message 61: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Finished mine!

message 62: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Seneca, where are you going to be globe trotting? Sounds fun! And happy birthday. :)

message 63: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Gals, we've already gotten three of our first five books read. I'm so proud of us! Keep up the great work!

Els (els-the-epical) Hannah wrote: "Seneca, where are you going to be globe trotting? Sounds fun! And happy birthday. :)"

Switzerland and Austria this time. I'll be checking two more countries off- Lichtenstein and Switzerland. I've been to Austria before. :)

message 65: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Oh, delightful! This is the backpacking trip?

message 66: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Safe and fun travels, Seneca!

message 67: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) Hannah wrote: "Oh, delightful! This is the backpacking trip?"

No, this is glamping for my sixteenth :)
We were supposed to go backpacking last week but ran into a snowstorm, and we will be doing the High Sierra Trail this summer.

message 68: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) Finished my book!

message 69: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments That is wonderful! Take plenty of pictures and post them to your blog so we can see also! ;)

Yes, we are! Great job, girls!

message 72: by Caitlyn (new)

Caitlyn Santi | 811 comments Just got my book finished and the review posted! Great job, everybody! :D

message 73: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments So proud of you, gals! We've completed round one!

message 74: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments The next round? Next week?

message 75: by Melanie, ✞Moderator, Avid Reader, & Blogger ✞ (new)

Melanie (lovebeingvegan) | 9915 comments Mod
Yes, the next round is next week. :))

message 76: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Awesome! I'm hoping one of the books I'm currently reading will work. Or one of the ones next in my stack.

message 77: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) Melanie- if there's any way you could make an exception and PM me the round early, I'd be happy to read it while I'm away. I just won't have any internet. :(

message 78: by Melanie, ✞Moderator, Avid Reader, & Blogger ✞ (new)

Melanie (lovebeingvegan) | 9915 comments Mod
If no one has a problem with it, I could have random.org pick the round early and do that. Alternatively you could plan on reading for the sleeping arrangements, which is always the same task (read a book with some type of shelter on cover -- house, cave, tent, etc.)

message 79: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) True, true. What will be the end date for this next round?

message 80: by Melanie, ✞Moderator, Avid Reader, & Blogger ✞ (new)

Melanie (lovebeingvegan) | 9915 comments Mod
I believe the deadline is the 31st for round two. May 18-31.

message 81: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Seneca, do you have a book that works for the shelter/sleeping accommodations? Will you be back in time to post your review?

message 82: by Els (new)

Els (els-the-epical) I have a book But I won't be back in time. So much for that idea! I'm sorry to load y'all with an extra book. :(

message 83: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments It isn't a problem, Seneca. One of us will cover for you. That's the good thing about having teammates. :)

message 84: by Caitlyn (new)

Caitlyn Santi | 811 comments No worries, Seneca! We can totally work it out as a team! I would be happy to volunteer to read a second book for the next round! :D

message 85: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Me too. I can read two books. ;)

I just read Life After by Katie Ganshert and there is the term "key chain" in it...I know Andrea and I have already finished it, but one of you other ladies might be able to read it when that category is called. :)

message 86: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Great find, Hannah! I also noticed that Meant to be Mine (Porter Family, #2) by Becky Wade featured a "key chain" pretty heavily throughout, so that would be another option for that category.

message 87: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Gals, since someone will need to read two books next round, do y'all want to each choose one category and then the first person done with that one may have first choice to take the extra book? I thought we could discuss and have a plan going into the round.

message 88: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments That would work for me.

message 89: by Caitlyn (new)

Caitlyn Santi | 811 comments Sure that works for me!

message 90: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Awesome, girls. I am so excited. We get our new round requirements sometime this week!

Next Round Starts: 6/1/17

Which category do you have a book for?

message 92: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments I have a book that will work for all the categories, so I'll take whatever's left. :)

message 93: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments #1: I have a book that works for a majority color of blue and white
Truth Stained Lies (Moonlighters, #1) by Terri Blackstock that is 40% done.

I think I have a book for every category, though, also. Even the grain on the cover!!

message 94: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments (That book also has a key chain in it, for future planning...)

message 95: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Ooh, what book do you have for grain? I have Rekindled (Fountain Creek Chronicles, #1) by Tamera Alexander , which has a wheat field on the cover.

message 96: by Bess (last edited May 17, 2017 12:25PM) (new)

Bess | 2584 comments I'm reading The Silent Songbird (Hagenheim, #7) by Melanie Dickerson
Can we fit that in somehow? If not, that is okay. I don't mind. :D

#5 Sleeping accommodations...castle?

message 97: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Do you want to save it for later or finish it now? I'm sure we'll come across another one with a keychain.

message 98: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Bess, that would work great for Sleeping Accommodations. Who wouldn't want to sleep in a castle? :)

message 99: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments So far, we have:

Location: Australia - Hannah
Transportation: Car -
Souvenir Item: Candle -
Nourishment: Grain/Legume -
Sleeping Accommodations: Any - Bess

message 100: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments I'll have to take a picture of mine...it's a vintage cover with a field of wheat.
