Dates changed. :)
Yes that's fine. I think last time we had the amendment that you can use books published this year if they are second or later in a series (because you might have been waiting for a sequel since reading the last book) ☺

Irene wrote: "I have the complete Sherlock Holmes book, how do I count that? Would A Study in Scarlet count as one book, since originally, it is?"
It says that it contains books #3-4, 6, 8-9, so you could split it into 5 books ☺

Books have to be read in July, so you can only read books you've already started if you start them from the beginning again ☹

No, but you can always add the books to your own shelf. Just add the cover underneath where you've posted your bookshelves -

You can just take a picture of one shelf, then you can add any other books underneath using the goodreads covers -

do you have to read with a buddy? and I would like to join this challenge if I could?

You don't have to read with a buddy if the book is on your shelf, but you get a bonus point if you do.
Sarah will add you to the participants list when she's on later. :)

Edited
I'm new around here so I've not done a buddy read yet. I want to though, sounds interesting! If anyone will have me? Also, is it just two people or can it be more?
I saw someone with Fangirl, would you like to buddy read it? @Irene @Hannelore @Robin @Leigh
Or even Paper Towns, I read The Fault in Our Stars so I'd really like to read another of his books, anyone? @Katie @Aria @Rachel
Buddy read for Catching Fire? @Aria
Buddy read for The Assassin's Blade? @Robin
The following GBR books (and sequels where listed) will also count for this challege (simply put GBR for 'shelf' when posting your reviews)-

Abbie and I will be reading all of these, so you will get the extra point for buddy reading for all of these too ☺

2. All Reviews or Updates have to have details specific to the book for them to count.
We're changing our rules just a little bit. You can now either write a review after reading a book or you can update your reading status on each book at least 4 times to have your book qualify for a challenge.
~For Reviews:
If a review doesn't have any details then we can't tell if it was actually read. Even if it's only a paragraph of info we'll count it, but we need some details. If you give us something like "This story was really good. I really liked the plot and the characters." then we won't count it. There's nothing specific to the story in a review like that and it doesn't prove to us that you read the book so we won't count that.
~For Updates:
If you would like to do updates through Goodreads while reading your book, then we will count that for challenges IF you update your reading status at least 4 times with details that let us know that you are actually reading the book. Saying something like "lol" will not count as one of the 4 required updates. Neither will "that was so cute!" You have to say something like "I'm so happy that they finally said I love you to each other! I've been waiting for that forever!" or "Wow she just threw him right over her shoulder! She can really kick some zombie butt!" Details, people! It's all in the details :)

can the GBR book be read individually for extra points?
No, you have to join in the buddy read if you want the extra points. If you read it on your own it will just count for 1 point ☺

You can choose whether you want to post your bookshelf or not, but you get 5 bonus points if you actually post a photo. you can add your books just using goodreads covers though, or just read books off other people's shelves with them ☺
