Merry Month of May Challenge
Finished my first, Aussie historical fiction: Burial Rites by Hannah Kent. Seriously one of the best books I have ever read. Now moving on to the book that makes me laugh: Seriously... I'm Kidding by Ellen DeGeneres. Never read it before but I adore Ellen so I'm sure this is going to be fantastic.
Finished my first book A Few Well-Frozen Worms by Ronnie Barker. 3 stars. It is a compilation of some of his sketches and such. Quite funny in parts
Over the weekend, I finished my first book for the challenge: TASKS #3 laugh out loud The Life and Loves of a She Devil by Fay Weldon (1983). Some people found the book light and humorous; I, on the other hand, thought this was one of the more tragic stories I've read. The humour is very dark.

The H for MOTHER is The Dressmaker by Aussie author Rosalie Ham. A peculiar book, I thought. 4★My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished third book, TASKS #2 strong female protagonist The Thirteen Problems by Agatha Christie (1932). I'm reading the series in order so this is my second Marple. Really quite enjoying it so far. This book of 13 short stories could easily qualify for TASKS #3 laugh out loud; I chuckled at several stages!

Finished my first, The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty, which I adored, this author knows how to tap into our innermost thoughts.I've started Error Australis by Ben Pobjie, only a couple of chapters in and I have already had many LOL moments.
I'm starting Burial Rites by Hannah Kent with the audiobook version on Kathryn's recommendation.

And if it was me, I'm sure I would have mentioned that you'll need to be in the mood for bleak...? But despite that, I didn't find it depressing. Hope you enjoy!
I haven't even started any of the books I said I'd read for this challenge! But I have realised that the one category I didn't pick a book for - the strong female protagonist - I have read a book for. I think Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly fits the bill three times over!

Ha ha, yes Kathryn, but I'm already loving the narrator, and don't worry, I'm prepared for bleak!

Finished fourth and final book, TASKS #1 historical fiction by Australian author: Burial Rites by Hannah Kent (2013) (AA). I was not prepared for something so emotionally intense, even though not a whole lot happen at all!

That was the thing about the Twilight series. It was totally addictive. So many people criticise it but it certainly had a certain something:)
