Where I have a problem is that you claim you worked 13 hours a day, and that is illegal, there is no way to get around the laws, then you say you are reading only for three hours a day, and most of us believe that that is impossible...
You cannot accomplish the impossible even if you want to, somethings just are not going to happen, It is just called reality....
And if you don't care if we believe you or not, then perhaps you shouldn't attack us when we say that we don't...

You need to calm down. This is criticism. They are just confused because if you go back to page 6, you have told the whole group that this is your worst month of reading because you got 3 jobs and school. Then you say that you saved up your reviews. They want more clarification that's all. I do not think it was necessary for you to talk to Berit and other people this way. If you clarify what you truly mean then maybe they would believe you more than they do right now.

But at the same time, most people will get defensive and upset when they feel (even if it is just from their perception) attacked, especially by multiple people. Heck, even I would feel a bit ganged up on here. Some comments said feel antagonistic.
And frankly, what someone works, school, age they are etc is no one else's business. We do not know what is entailed in their jobs. Baby-sitting a kid for a weekend whle parents are away can be considered working 48 hours straight. SO we don't know what these 13 hours really mean. Nor is it our business. If you are that concerned, PM the person. Or alert authorities about potential child labor laws, etc. We should not judge each other's lives.
And if it is a lie who cares?! A person will read what they read. Be it in an hour or hey read 20 hours a day. Be it a speed read or a snail's pace. Now if one is not actually reading that can be a bit unfair but I have seen a few people read an insane amount of books in a month that I cannot see how it is possible. Now in this case it does seem a bit odd but again Wolf did not have to say or share what time is devoted to reading. Be it the truth or not I don't think that should matter. If it is a lie, it only affects them.
Now the review saving part I get wanting clarification on. Yet I have seen others, even in recent months, doing that as well. At least Wolf admitted it up front. Be is saving them up or just pacing how many reviews are posted or what free time there is to post might be nice to know. Still, Sarah has asked, as the mod let her handle it. Be it letting it go, pushing for an answer or enforcing the rule for limiting reviews posted (for which I am actually all in favor of). The two statements made have been noted. Let it go for now, no one needs a bunch of people harping on them, demanding the same answers. Do things Wolf said make sense? No. They are contradictory. But the only thing that is the groups business is the review posting vs saving. And repeating the same doubts, demanding answers will not help. Maybe something is fishy, maybe just badly worded. But getting on their case to the point they are obviously upset or flustered isn't going to resolve anything.
This is suppose to be a fun group, but this isn't fun. We should be cheering our teams n here, playful competition, etc. I get the frustrating from things not making sense on the reading time and the review posts. But figuratively shoving someone up against a wall, demanding answers and crowding in around them isn't going to fix anything.
Sorry for the rant and any repeated statements. I am actually suppose to be on vacation and this thread just blew up to crazy proportions.

Amen Jamie!!! I agree with your rant. Lol. I feel like the rest of the group, (none of wolf's comments make sense) perhaps she was just trying to impress the group, idk, perhaps she does read at work, i know I do. Be it as it may I agree on the whole review dumping. If you have time for all the other social media sharing then you have time to post reviews.
Bring back that rule about review dumping!

I am being honest with everyone Sharon. Nobody has to believe me, but what reason would I have to lie to everyone? What would I gain?
Well that was quite a lot to catch up on... I would almost say 'how can we be sure Wolf's actually reading the books', but the reviews are there for that purpose XD
How the heck does Birmingham have like 1000 points though. That is complete mental!!

Which book is it? There might be a page count on amazon if there's not one on goodreads ☺

Can we count a book if we only half finish it? Like if we count the amount of page we read this month? Because I know it works the other way (you can count a book you finish if you started it BEFORE the start date).

Yeah if you start a book but don't get it finished. Because I normally do buddies, would I be able to count those updates as proof that I read it?

Yes, that's fine ☺

We usually ask for status updates as well as the buddy read thread ☺

But what if we haven't finished the book at the end of the month? How can we post the review? Because I'll use the rest of the book for the next month's challenge XD

You would be able to claim points for the pages, but you wouldn't be able to pick a box, and you would still have to write a short review or have status updates for it to count. The same with Jumanji, you could get points for the pages, but you wouldn't be able to cross off a description.
In terms of a review for a partly finished book, you would need to just tell us a couple of details of what has happened in the book so far, status updates would really be easier.

@Quirks: Yeah, lets me read books when I want, instead of timing books so I don't get them over the monthly marks.
@Tati: But we'd only count the number of pages we read each month, but the total twice.

@Sarah: The example I want to use is Ice Like Fire (18% read this month and I won't be picking it up again). That'll be 98 pages (18/100 x 545), so that'll give me .5 points for this month's challenge, right? I've posted updates on the buddy read thread, which is what I can use as proof. If I can't count it, then that's fine, and I'll just count the 447 pages in next month's challenge.

Well that's the problem I think Haley is trying to point out. It can't be explained.
