This is a team reading challenge that will run from April 1st 2017 to April 30th 2017. Results will be announced on May 1st 2017.
For this challenge we have a grid of 100 boxes, behind each box is a points score!
These boxes are made up of:
5 bombs worth 0 points each
31 boxes worth +1 point
47 boxes worth +2 points
12 boxes worth +3 points
4 boxes worth +4 points
and 1 gold star worth +5 points!
How to play -
- Read and review your books as you normally would
- When you post your review, pick a box from #1 to #100
Rules -
* Books must be read between April 1st 2017 and April 30th 2017 inclusive.
* Books must be over 100 pages long to earn points and boxes.
* Bonus points for buddy reads will only be given for buddy reads which take place within our group, and where the participant has made 4 detailed comments about the book.
* Re-reads are allowed as long as it has been at least a year since you last read the book.

*Books started before April can be used, but you must only claim the number of pages read in April.
* Points for bonus boxes will only be updated weekly, as all teams will be using the same grid.
* You may choose whichever boxes you wish each time you submit a review, even if you or someone in your team has previously chosen them.
Points -
Points:
*100 - 199 pages = 1 point
*200 - 299 pages = 2 points
*300 - 399 pages = 3 points
*400 - 499 pages = 4 points
*500 - 599 pages = 5 points
*600+ pages = 6 points
(maximum of 6 points per book)
*Buddy reads DOUBLE your points score, so a 300 page book + buddy read = 6 points. 600 page book + buddy read = 12 points. (Bonus points for buddy reads will only be given if the buddy read has taken place in our group.)
* For each book read and reviewed you will be able to choose one box, and you will gain the points found in this box.
* For each confirmed buddy read you will be able to choose a second box, and receive the points inside that too.

(= +4 point for book, +4 point for buddy read, + points from box 12, + points from box 23)
This challenge will be a team challenge. When signing up please let us know if you want to join a 'Serious' team (reading 12 books or more), a 'medium' team (reading 8-12 books) or a 'Just for fun' team (reading any number of books). You may also sign up as a solo participant.
**Please only sign up for a team if you genuinely plan on taking part, as your team will lose out if you sign up and then do not participate**
