and about Dimitri's father, firstly i was kinda surprised and how many people were questioning who he was because it never crossed my mind as relevant, However, RM has said, when asked, that the question of who his father is, is a story for another time. so maybe we'll find out hopefully soon, because RM seems to hint that she knows who he is. Plus, maybe its someone we know????

I don't see why they don't just put one of them into a medically induced death and then revive them. If done correctly the risk is pretty low.

I thought that in one of the books Dimitri said that he beat his dad up because he used to treat his mom like crap. If I'm remembering correctly, that would mean that he already knows who it is. I think the idea of it being Nathan Ivashkov is interesting, but Dimitri has spent some time at court and has undoubtedly seen and been around him and he would know that Adrian is his half-brother. If it is Nathan, maybe Dimitri has just completely dissociated himself from him. I'm surprised there hasn't been some hint.

That's what I was thinking. Dimitri doesn't talk much about his dad, so either he doesn't think about him or forgot about him. If Nathan is his dad, I think he would figure it out and tell Adrian or give him a hint.
Yep it totally doesn't make sense for Nathan to be Dimitri's father.And the bond does have side effects. Darkness could seep into Jill ... Rose said in the Fiery Heart that she was glad to be rid of the Darkness ...

hmmm here are some moroi men who have the potential of being asshole fathers...but some of them um I will write them but they will probably NO WAYYYY be Dimitri's father because of some detail I've forgotten.
Could Victor Dashkov have been at all? (does it ever mentions if Dimitri's father was an earth user or anything?)

Okay other than those guys I can't really think of any other moroi men who are old enough to be Dimitri's father. (and okay yes I know some of them are like, NO WAY Dimitri's father but just some food for thought.

Orrrrrrrr, if he was close by, I can't remember how old that Mark and Oksana couple were, but I think they were a bit young and also I think it was Oksana who was the spirit user.
And ummm this is very highly unlikely, but Eric Dragomir? Lissa and Jill's father? He liked to party, but I'm not so sure the age works out so well...

Robert said he restored a girl and they found out about Strigoi restoration from Oksana, which means Robert must have been in Russia a few years ago which is right around the time that Lee was changed back.

and it can't be Abe because then Rose and Dimitri are half siblings and that just won't do!
also, what I'd love to find out is how all these mysterious spirit users like the one who restored Lee, know about spirit, know they wield it and even more importantly knew that it could be used to restore a strigoi by charming a stake. Just something I've always thought about and think it would be awesome if RM explored it and shared the background secrets.

hmm I think that Lissa just figured out how too...or she and Adrian discovered the theory together. I think that was addressed in VA series.

I think someone told Rose and Lissa it was possible. Rose figured it out, but someone told her. Remember, they broke Victor out so they could meet his brother and he told them how he did it? Adrian was there, but I don't think he cared much until he figured out Rose was doing this for Dimitri.
