Congratulations! As for Vine, I have no idea but I did once have a Vine reviewer review one of my Howard County novels. I'm not sure it made much difference, but it made me feel good.

I just hope it doesn't cost you sales.

What a great problem to have!

On my birthday!!!

May you have the most wondrous of days."
Thanks Alex! My pLan is to lie in bed and eat cake all day.

I'm surprised and delighted by this honor, of course. I certainly wan't expecting it. Even if they make such offers to fill up unsold slots, I'm sure they don't offer it to just anyone. I'll let you know when the interview runs.

I'm an author from Ireland and I write blogs on my website that promote young, talented authors and their work. Below is the link to their interviews with me.

The series has just finished and I would love to interview some authors from 16-25 about their writing and their work.
If this is you, you can DM me to enquire. I look to start up my Type Cast Young Writers' blog after Christmas.

They've asked me to do another, but I don't know if I'll wait for the two years non-compete in the contract and do one of my own. We'll see.
I'm not feeling personally creative. This month I feel like I am in promoting mode. I guess the spy book did that to me, I'm in 'cracking the code' mode. I want to see what is the least expensive way we can promote and market.
I know when the urge to write hits, though I'll just do it.

So, today, my joke book is ranked 16 on all of Amazon and I have an author's rank of 97- Thanks for sharing news of the book, guys!!!!!!

Great to hear Carole! That top 100 ranking isn't easy to reach. Looks like it's 93 now. I'm so happy for you!
It's a fun book. Got one for my kids and gave them an early Christmas present. When I told them I knew the author, I don't think they believed me lol!

Amazing!!!!!!
Thanks. We investigated why the book fell so quickly- It's temporarily out of stock! Which makes no sense since it's POD- What game is Amazon playing?
Do you think it's a ploy to keep indies and small publishing houses- small?

Was it published through KDP? I've read that some authors have problems with this if they go through another POD service. There is speculation it's an underhanded way of getting authors to use KDP to avoid out of stock issues. But if you've published through KDP, then that wouldn't seem to make any sense.
In case you didn't notice we set up a Facebook page for this thread. We are sharing our ads on social media. I don't know about anybody else, but my sales have increased. Please join us and we will spread word of your book on assorted Facebook pages. If you don't have Facebook- then you can post to Goodreads, your blog, tweet- any social media applies.https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?...
I love hearing that. I'm happy to announce that author CC Bolick is joining us in the Bulwark Anthology.

In that case, it's probably that Amazon orders however many copies they think they need at any given point and if they happen to run out, the book shows as out of stock until they receive more. That's assuming the order ships to the customer from Amazon rather than the publisher, which I'm guessing it would. Not that I know for sure.

FYI, the link didn't work for me...

I'm so excited for the fun opportunity. I read Bulwark and loved it. Now I've downloaded all of the other books and I'll be reading through those in the next few weeks before I start on my story. This is such a great idea!

Thanks for sharing Alex. Looks interesting. Quite amazing.

I noticed yesterday that on Amazon the number of ratings for my books had rocketed. From 22 reviews for one book, it became 38 ratings. And for another book it went from 38 to 59. It seemed that the number of reviews had not increased but there was a huge increase in those who had rated but not reviewed.
I've just looked again so that I could accurately tell you what was going on, but the ratings have fallen from 59 to the original 38.
Did anyone else notice this?
I got so exited - 59 ratings and a rise in the overall rating and then today... well, Amazon, make up your mind, what are you doing? Bit of a disappointment. Sigh

Oh, I think I might've stumbled upon thay, Alex. It might attract people, so wishing you all the best. :)
Just read your new comment, Anna.- It's so frustrating. The same happened to me. I think in the US, they have started including one or two of the best UK reviews. One of my books is showing over 400 reviews with at least 100 being just ratings. It's my new joke book. None of my other books are showing the additional ratings except for maybe one or two.
I do notice that they will waffle with reviews- they are there, then gone, then back again and then finally gone. Yup- I think it all reflective of who they have at Amazon reviewing your reviews.
