I need to figure out this clapping thing. I did in my head, and chuckled, but don't understand clapping yet! So much to learn in this place!
It’s the same as hitting like. You hit the clapping hands. You can give as big or small a round of applause as you like. Paying members of Medium who clap contribute to the earnings received by members of the partners program. It’s early days, we’ll see. I might eventually make the £2.50 I always aim to on a new venture!
Great articles, Amy- Keep it up- My hands are red from clapping for you, my friend!!! I joined so my clapping will be heard!!!
Much appreciated as always. I’m trying to think of another one. I need the money lol. You seem to be able to publish virtually anything inoffensive on there.

Aw, thanks Christine- It really happened that way. I now speak to her weekly. We have yet to meet, though.
Erica wrote: "Catch that Chinchilla just hit #1 New Release status on Amazon!!! **Eeekk** Cake and ice cream all around!"Congratulations, Erica! Well deserved, time to celebrate!

"I am quite invisible, despite my purple hair."
I absolutely LOVE your writing style! And I loved your piece. Do NOT...EVER...GIVE...UP...ON...YOURSELF!!!!
Ted
You must be jumping up and down, Alex! How fun! I hope it continues to climb in the ratings (or drop, I guess, because lower is good, right?), and that it helps the rest of your books! Good antidote to the winter blues!
I just had another poem accepted into an anthology. This will make my fifth story/poem this year that will be in an upcoming anthology and will put me in a total of 14 anthologies overall.
I had a great turn out at the library today! I was signing books and handed out a ton of flyers for the Indie Advent Calendar and my Facebook party. If you haven't check the Facebook party out, please do. Especially if you are interested in possibly winning some kids books. Carole, Becky, Judy and Rocio are all giving away paperback books. All you have to do is simply comment on their posts to enter. There are also Amazon gifts cards and other items up for grabs. Go to https://www.facebook.com/events/15065... and click the discussion tab. Then scroll through to find the giveaways that are still open. :)

New article on Medium- It's about gambling, not children's books or writing. https://medium.com/@caroleproman/gend...
I knew it had to be you!! Thanks, Alex!!!!! I actually had a lot of fun writing that article. I think they are putting up part 2 of the Writing Bug really soon.
Carole wrote: "New article on Medium- It's about gambling, not children's books or writing. https://medium.com/@caroleproman/gend..."Wow! What I wouldn't give to spend just one hour standing next to you at the table! What a terrific article. You need to incorporate that into a novel! Just terrific!
lol. One day, Ted- we'll hit a crap table together. My son got married in Vegas and right from the wedding, we took over a table- That was some crap game!!!My son used many of our stories when he wrote Pokergeist.

I love to see a woman breaking a barrier....nicely done! Both the crap game and the story. Made me chuckle and jump up and down at your success!
Thanks, Carmel. I watched a lot change over the years. Never thought it would ever involve a crap table and myself. lol

I will definitely do that when I can think of something amusing. Thanks Carole. Here's an old story I've published on Medium, it usually causes a stir when I tell it!

My second story was also on the Medium Daily Three Digest email thingy. It's a somewhat watered down version of the original from 20 years ago but it's close enough.

I just need to be paid something, anything, now. I'll take small change at this point.
Carole wrote: "You go, girl!!!!"Thanks, I'm not sure if that's a "thing" or maybe it's automatically generated. Still, it's nice to be noticed even if its virtually.
Read it next month Alex if you're interested. You'll get another 3 stories then. Thanks RL.
These articles are coming thick and fast. I've just penned "the big one" but I might save it for January. Or I'll run out of ideas.
It's addictive, I think. I get an idea and put it up there. Hoping it translates to fans for the magazine.
