2014 June - What are you reading?
I'm still trying to finish one up from May! Once I finish up Rock Chick for the Year Long Buddy Read (good think I didn't commit to one every month!), I will probably try to squeeze in a couple of shorties from my M&G and PIFM - Saturday Night Special, Love the One You're With or maybe Broken Beauty. I want to be ready when Fall from India Place comes out!
I'm part way through one of my May M&G picks, In the Blood. Loved the first book, but so.many.characters. so I didn't finish it by month's end.I'm reading Mina Wentworth and the Invisible City on my kindle. I CANNOT get enough of this series.
I've started Redemption for a couple of challenges.
I'll be reading Gone Girl next since I borrowed it from my library for my kindle and it is due back soon :)
I just finished
- loved it! World building is awesome. I recommend this series.I have
on my kindle. Just waiting for it to finish charging..
I've read a couple of shorts to start the month - Got Your Six, Broken Beauty and should finish tonight Beauty Becomes You. I started listening to Kiss of a Demon King today and plan to start Fall from India Place as soon as I can!

I just finished
by Jodi Thomas. Liked it, but wasn't wild about the ending.Started
by Kristen Ashley. I'm enjoying it so far.
Just finished
by Deborah Harkness - WOW! Now I have to wait over a month for book 3 to be released, and then decide whether to buy it in hardcover or go on the library's waiting list…Decided I needed to wind down some, so am listening to The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson - having fun with it - really good narrator.
I've had a rough couple of weeks and haven't had energy to read much. So I compensated by reading ALL THE BOOKS THIS WEEK.
Devil's Game, The Kraken King, Shield of Winter, and It Happened One Wedding were all stellar and have doubled my "2014 favorites" shelf.
I also read Last Hit, (Once) Again, and Dragon's Lair and there wasn't a bad one in the bunch. My reading this week really rocked.
I am currently reading
I want to read
and maybe a few others depends on if i get throught these ones this month
I am starting Full Circle today and next up are two library books that both just came in....The Vacationers and We Were Liars.
I just finished Fall from India Place, excellent, and Kiss of a Demon King, very good especially in audio!Slipping in a shortie this morning, Island Fever, before getting started on The Lady Most Willing...: A Novel in Three Parts. I also have Saturday Night Special, Hope Smolders and No Strings Attached on my short list to read while listening to The Lady Most Willing...: A Novel in Three Parts.

I've been looking for books that were nominated for "Best Books" of 2013 at the Romance category. But some are sequels, so I've been reading from the first book of each story. I've loved!
I couldn't be satisfied with reading one book about PTSD - I had to follow it up with a 2nd one! They were both library books, and I didn't know the first one was going to be about PTSD when I got it - it was supposed to be a nice beach read. In fact, it's called Beach House No. 9, so I was initially surprised at how serious it got. I'm reading the 2nd one now - The Impossible Knife of Memory - and I knew that was going to be about a tough situation, all Laurie Halse Anderson's books are. This one is told from the POV of the daughter, now in her teens, of a Gulf War veteran with PTSD.

I finished up
- a good addition but thought the Ivy was too Mary Sue-ish and the gauntlet was given way too much importance compared to the rest of the happenings. Also read
- Julie James does write good contemp romances. This was a dependable book.Planning to start
next for the PtP.
Finished these earlier this week:
I think my brain needs a break lol. But I've already started the ARC for

I found the gauntlet subplot pretty boring. It would have been cool if Ivy was a little more experienced than other psy because her silence was already broken for years.
Selling Scarlett by Soraya Lane
Dance of Desire by Catherine Kean
Text Order Bride by Kristen Osbourne
Jennifer's Garden by Dianne Venetta
England's Perfect Hero by Suzzane Enoch

"Tania, how did you like Air Bound? I have it, but have other books in the way (like library books!) Another Prakenskii brother - looks like we're going to get all 7 of them...
I definitely needed something lighter after finishing The Impossible Knife of Memory (which was good but certainly not light-hearted), so I listened toThe Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared - I'm not sure I'd have finished it in paper form, but it was thoroughly enjoyable as an audiobook - very good narrator and a very imaginative author.

BJ don't know why but was a little disappointed in it. Wanted to give it 3.5 stars. The story moved along, the characters are ok but felt there was something missing. Am still looking forward to the next book.
