Keeping others safe is what Caleb Montgomery does. He's never had a problem taking on an assignment, whether it was during his dangerous SEAL days or his most recent job of training war mercenaries. But being assigned to keep Brynna Vincent and her adorable daughters, Maddie and Josie, safe from an unknown threat has thrown Caleb off his axis. Hot for the tall brunette since she came back to town more than a year ago, being close to her day in and day out is cracking Caleb's resolve to keep his hands off her gorgeous body and his head in the mission.

Brynna is sick and tired of being afraid. All she wants is a normal, quiet life for her and her precious girls. Just as she's settling into her new home in Seattle and feeling safe again, Caleb shows up on her doorstep insisting the danger is as high as ever. But whether she needs to be sheltered from the threat in her past, or from the intense emotions she feels for the sexy, protective man sleeping in her home, remains to be seen. What will happen if Brynna and her girls fall in love with a man so broken he may not be able to protect them from the danger that threatens, much less himself?"

SAFE WITH ME is the fifth book in the With Me In Seattle series, and continues to follow this tight-knit, loving family through life's trials and tribulations with humor, passion and everlasting love.

Proby’s With Me in Seattle series continues to get better and better with each passing book. This series is the perfect combination of sweet, sexy, funny, romantic and emotional. Friendship and family are the most important thing in the world and she depicts that with her connected characters. Each story builds on the next. Technically, they could be read as stand alones but I recommend reading them in order. You’ll get a better idea of who everyone is to who etc.

Caleb Montgomery is an ex Navy SEAL. He’s spent his life as a protector, keeping others safe. Right now, he is working on keeping Brynna and her two daughters safe. Brynna, his sister in law Stacey’s cousin. The girl he can’t keep his eyes off of.

Brynna escaped to Seattle a while ago, but her fears followed her there. After seeing something she wasn’t supposed to see in Chicago, she had to leave. To keep her and her daughters safe. Everything has been going okay, but there have been some red flags lately. Caleb Montgomery is moving in. Bryn hasn’t been with anyone in a long time. She is attracted to Caleb in a way she’s never been attracted to a man before, but he always keeps her at an arms length. Now he’s here. In her house. With her girls. Protecting them.
“You could be in danger. I’m not willing to take that chance. Until we know for sure what’s going on, I’ll be here. Starting today.”

 photo 077a9b8a-5b27-40a7-9820-8510260e8543_zps44c56197.jpg

Caleb is a little different than the others in the Montgomery clan. He is more standoffish, a little more reserved. He is damaged, broken, he’s been through war and it’s changed him. Brynna understands that. She wants more with Caleb, but he’s not willing to go there. He can’t, for many reasons.
“Lets get this straight, Brynna. I want you so fucking bad my teeth ache. I’ve wanted you for months. But you’re part of my family, and I’m supposed to be protecting you... I’m not going to fuck up our friendship, or make things weird for you with my family, just because I can’t keep my damn hands off you. You mean too much for that.”

The more time Caleb and Bryn spend together, the harder it becomes to resist one another.

 photo 02bb4b99-16e0-4af0-8596-c36550fdcdef_zpsa9338f89.jpg
“You’re so wet, Legs. Does fighting with me turn you on?”
“Everything you do turns me on.”

Things seem to be going as planned. Everyone is safe. Caleb and Brynna are happy. The girls are happy. I loved seeing Caleb with the twins. It was the most adorable thing ever. Their interactions were so sweet. He loves them. He would do anything to make sure they were safe.
“It would destroy me if you or those babies were hurt, Brynna. You are necessary to my survival, goddamn it, and I’ll do whatever I have to do to keep you safe and whole.”

Something happens that Caleb never intended on happening, and it scares him to death.
I’m falling in love with two amazing girls and their mother. And I”m exactly what they don’t need. Broken. Hurt.

Brynna knows Caleb is broken from his time in the service, but she doesn’t care. She is willing to fight his demons with him.

 photo 979ba4d6-9911-4f57-98ac-8d87fdc957ad_zps88c5d379.jpg

When something dramatic happens, it really freaks Caleb out. Usually when there is a case of ‘I’m not good enough for them so I’m going to leave’ in a book it drives me insane. I end up getting so frustrated with the character. I never had those feelings for Caleb. After all he’s been through and with what happened I only felt sympathy for the man. Even though Caleb’s not in war anymore, he still battles with PTSD. Caleb only does what he feels is best for those he loves. What he thinks will ultimately keep them safe.

Luckily, Caleb gets some sound advice when he’s out on his next job...
“You’ve earned the right to be happy, more than most of us. You have earned her, Sergeant.”

When he comes back, will it be too late for them? Will the damage be done, or will he be able to make Brynn and her girls feel safe again?

 photo 8df394c9-cb7c-4ecb-ac24-c9fb77e3e04f_zps01f4dc43.jpg
He’s ours, and we are his.

Caleb Montgomery has been my favorite of the Montgomery men for a while now. His book just solidified that. Not only is he a little broken, he is an ex Navy SEAL, ripped and sexy, but he has such a gentle side with Brynn’s daughters. Not only with Caleb Montgomery melt you panties, he will melt your heart. Byrnn was also a wonderful character. She was strong, patient and understanding.

I loved this book! Loved it! Catching up with all the Montgomery’s was fantastic. Usually, the clan of women are cracking me up, this time it was the men!
“He’s just pissed because he’s been married for so fucking long, he can’t remember what a blow job feels like,” Matt says, earning a glare from Isaac.
“I don’t know that being married has anything to do with it,” Pop says and stuffs some Doritos into his mouth. “Your mom and I have been married for almost forty years and just the other night....”

“Who would fuck you? You’re ugly as fuck,” I respond, earning chuckles from my other brothers.
“He looks just like you,” Pop responds and grins at me. “You’re all a bunch of ugly shitheads.”

Their poker game was hilarious! We also learn a little secret in this book... one that shocked me! A new character we’re introduced to that hopefully will have a bigger part in books to come ;)

I really enjoy these books. This series is just a great blend of all the things I love to read about. Next up (book 6) is Matt Montgomery’s story...

“Matt likes kinky sex, theres nothing perfect about him.”
A cop who likes it kinky... yet another reason why I can’t wait for Matt’s book!

This time we get to the story of Brynn and Caleb.
Being in danger after watching a part of her ex-husband murder and not qualifying for the witness protection, Brynn counts only with the support of her family to keep her and her two twins daughters safe.
That’s when Caleb enters, one of the hot bunch of Montgomery brothers and an ex-Navy SEAL, he settles on protect Brynn until the threat goes away.

description

They both want each other for a long time, but neither of them really did anything about it.
So when they have to live together in the same house, things will start to change and neither of them can really stop it.
But between Brynn’s problems and Caleb army wounds, that he never completely got through, their path isn’t going to be an easy one.

description

Although Will’s book is still my favorite (even with a big fight between him, Nate and Leo!), I loved this book. Caleb is one hell of a sexy SEAL and Brynn is pretty awesome either.
I love these books mostly because of all the family, which make us want to join it. (Especially if we join it through one of the hot brothers!).
I love how the girls get crazy together and how they’re all so supportive of each other. I love them!
Definitely, one series completely worth reading! ;)

When i thought about finally reading Caleb's story i was all like...

As most of you know he is my 2nd favorite Montogomery brother (right after my beloved Will of course) ;) .

But when i realized Caleb is gonna fall for a woman (Brynna) who has 2 little twin daughters, i was a bit like this...

judged

I was nervous i wouldn't like it because of the whole thing. For some reason female protagonists having kids just ruins the book for me (not that i have anything against kids, mind you).

However, i'm very glad to say i actually loved the twins! They weren't in the way of anything, and were very cute and just so lovable.

Safe With Me was another very good book in the 'With Me in Seattle' series.
It was definitely not a disappointment!
It could have been the best in the entire series (so far) if not for the ending, which i'll get to later.

Whereas in, like, 99% of the books the females are the ones who are either naive/stupid or just annoying, here (to my surprise) was the male protagonist - Caleb.
He really got on my nerves with all his 'i don't deserve them. I'm fucked up' shit he had going on.

tumblr inline mohcjb Te B71qz4rgp

Brynna, on the other hand, was a FABULOUS protagonist! I don't really have anything bad to say about her (maybe one thing but that's again because of the end).
She was fantastic, not only as a mother but as a friend to her daughters too. I think she was inspiring and i admired her.
She was also caring, smart and brave.

The end.

When , i was like...

What+the+ Fuck+ Are+ You+ Doing

I.Wanted.To.Slap.Him.

Then someone finally talks some sense into his stupid brain and he realizes what he have lost. and i'm all...

But then the next day guess what she is doing? Just casually walking down the stairs towards Caleb and

wtf is this shit

What.The.Fuck.
Did she hit her head or something because it seems like she has forgotten

The end felt extremely rushed to me and i didn't like it.

Overall...

This series started as a slow burner for me, but as the series has moved forward Kristen Proby has continued to pull at my romantic heart strings, here she has combined heart felt, moving and sexy in a story that squeezed my heart and left me with a dreamy smile on my face. Welcome to 'Safe with me' here are my book thoughts ...

What's it all about?
Brynna Vincent finds herself not only running from her past but also desperate to run into the arms of ex navy seal Caleb Montgomery, ever since she witnessed the aftermath of her ex-husbands murder this loving mother of two must protect her family. Caleb knows he would do anything to protect those he loves even if it means protecting them from himself, so when his job to keep bryanna and her girls becomes a battle to win over his heart he must make the decision to freely give his love. But when insecurities and danger face this couple we find out if love can really conquer all.

description

What did I love?
I have been waiting for what seems like forever to read Caleb's story this broody, moody, hunky hero has been behind the scenes in previous books of this series and I knew he would be every bit of the damaged, gorgeous character that I dreamed him to be. Yes without a doubt Caleb turned out to be all I had hoped. So whilst I'm talking about my love of all things Montgomery it is definitively worth mentioning the family, I think this family tops as one of my favourite in the fictional world of books, the author really knows how to connect her characters and make her readers fall into love with a family that are outright lovely, the banter and love is a real winner for me and I appreciate the authors ability to write a well rounded story that doesn't just focus on one couple. So, back to the story the sizzling connection and lusty tension between Caleb and Brynna was delicious, I was taken in by their story and believed the difficulties and drama, towards the end (probably the last 30%) the author really clinched the deal with my readers heart, I had tears and frustrations and was left floating on a love cloud, once again feeling loved up by another romantic soirée by the lovely Kristen Proby. I don't often find myself drawn to a story where the heroine already has children but the author played this aspect out so well it was not hard to fall for Byrnna and her two girls, Byrnna showed strength that I expected and admired from a mother, her love was always steadfast and the cute girly dialogue from her daughters added a like-ability ability factor to the story telling. All in all I loved the latest Kristen Proby addition and as always with this series I'm looking forward to the next.

description

Why not five?
Kristen Proby has an ongoing formula for her books that each time I start a book I hope she will break, I knew at about 25% in, that this book would probably not reach five stars from me and there's one simple reason, the added instant-love-action. I think in all my previous reviews I've had the same complaint, so why do I continue you may ask? Well because the author is the queen of romance and her books always demand me to feel. So although that little niggle holds me back from a five star, I do confess to having a huge soft spot for this series.

description

Final thoughts ...
I'm always waiting for the next in the series it seems, but this time around I am girly giggly excited about getting my grabby hands onto Matt and Nic's book, bring on spring 2014. If you haven't already started the series and you love sweet romances with extraordinarily hot heroes then you won't go far wrong with a Kristen Proby fix, go grab it. Enjoy ... Kisses.

Got to love a good ole fashion sexy, swooning, angsty love story!! The With me in Seattle series are just the best in HEA that you can get. I love reading a book where I am happy, sad, mad, frustrated, blushing, smiling and laughing. This book has it all

Caleb- Sexy, Gorgeous, ex-Navy Seal.....When his sister in law's cousin returns home, he has been asked to help protect her. It's been a year that he has been looking out for her and her daughters. A year that he has had feeling for Brynna and hasn't done anything. But now danger presents itself and Caleb decided for the safety of Brynna and the girls, he is moving in to keep them safe. But Caleb has demons, he came home safe from war but he's broken, hurt inside.
 photo caleb_zps0a5b2e3d.jpg

Brynna- Spirited, Beautiful, Confident.... she's the mother of twin 6 yr olds. Her ex-husband was murdered and she saw the killers. She went home to her family, hoping to disappear and stay away from those that want to harm her. She is independent and sassy and so attracted to Caleb but he acts like she is nothing more than a friend.
 photo brynna_zps9827fec8.jpg

Lets just say, eventually, the sexual tension these 2 have explodes.
"Let's get this straight, Brynna. I want you so fucking bad my teeth ache. I've wanted you for months. But you're part of my family, and I'm supposed to be protecting you. Dropping my guard and fucking you in to the mattress is not the way to keep any of you whole."
kissing gifs photo: kissing kisssing.gif
Their connection is off the charts and things are going great until one of Caleb's nightmare returns. As much as they both have fallen in love with each other, Caleb's past is haunting him. Can he overcome his demons for his HEA or is he doomed to a life without happiness?

All I have to do is smell her and I'm calmer, yet I know I should pull away from her altogether. She and the girls need someone who's not so fucked up in the head.

"You are the best part of my life, Bryn. Don't you forget that."

"I can't see anything but you, Legs."

"Bring it on, sailor"

 photo calebandbryn_zps3bddbf0a.jpg

What I love about this series is that that you get all the other family members included and what is going on with their lives in the main story. I feel like I'm friends with the Montgomery Clan. You can read this book free standing but if you start with the other books first, you get so much more out of each book in the series. While I may have favorites, each story in this series is wonderful, beautiful, smexy......just a perfect romantic love story. You can't beat that feeling when you finish a book with a marvelous HEA!!

4 Smokin' Hot, Protective, Montgomery Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free-2013 Review
Safe with Me (With Me in Seattle, #5) is another strong experience with the tight-knit loving Montgomery family created by Kristen Proby. I had first experienced this family in the book Play with Me. I took a liking to them right away. There was a feeling of wanting to know them; they weren't perfect yet seemed to be what "family" was all about. Plus it didn't hurt that all of the brothers were hot and the daughters fun.

This story involved Caleb, the ex-Navy Seal.
He was the dark, brooding brother who was fighting inner demons. He had experienced war and stilled carried the battles deep inside. He is strong, built, and the protective alpha male to the tee.

Brynna comes to Seattle from Chicago to escape a threat created by the death of her ex-husband. As an undercover police officer, he was killed in his home moments before Brynna's arrival with her twin daughters' scheduled visit. She saw an SUV speed away; she walked into the house and discovered the scene.

There are those who think she can identify them as the killers. That she really cannot doesn't matter. She returns to Seattle to be under everyone's radar and keep her girls safe. Her being a cousin to one of the Montgomery wives brings her into this family.

Brynna is a person who has had to be strong raising her girls all on her own. She has done an excellent job being everything to them and the girls feel safe with their mother's love. A likable character, not whiney or woe is me type. She also happens to be attractive, built, and pretty comfortable in her own skin, another plus.

The men move to set up a safe environment for Brynna and that is where the fun begins. Brynna and Caleb have been attracted to one another for a while. Nothing has happened... Caleb feels he has no business being with anyone due to the burdens he carries. Brynna hasn't made any moves as she has been adjusting her children to living here, protecting them, and just taking life day by day.

Caleb learns of the threat to Brynna and decides he will stay with her and the girls to protect them.

As in live under the same roof...
As in being around them 24/7...

And when you have such strong desires for each other smoldering just under the surface... the sexual tension is off the charts. He keeps thinking of how much he wants her but needs to stay clear of her. He knows she and her girls aren't a love'em then leave'em situation. He knows he has issues he doesn't want anyone to deal with ... he knows these things ...

Brynna has been taken with Caleb from a distance for a while... she has such an attraction to him, she can hardly function. She decides to push his buttons to make what should be happening, happen.

When those two get together... Wow... just writing this is causing me to need a cool beverage... ok... just saying very hot. And here is the best part.. it isn't the type of forced hot, it just is there and seems right.

Part of that heat comes from Caleb's way with Brynna's girls. These girls are not a throwaway to the story. They are fully formed with distinct personalities. They never had a day to day father figure in their lives; they never had that safety that comes with a father reading to them, playing with them, or caring for them when they were sick. Caleb does this naturally and it is written without pretense or manipulation. It really felt true.

Add all of that together and this is a real recipe for reader love.

Of course, everything cannot be perfect... there is the constant worry of the Chicago threat and Caleb's demons from war surfacing.

I want to take a moment to address the sincere use of PTSD in this story. This is a real issue our servicemen and women are dealing with in their return to civilian life. These warriors deserve our care, concern, and assistance with these issues. There are excellent organizations that help with coping and overcoming these obstacles and in this story, it was addressed with real honesty.

The read was a winner for me. I had comic relief; I had real romance and love; I had smokin' hot chemistry between Caleb and Brynna and a shower scene right out of the movies... so hot I needed a shower myself after reading it... oh, too TMI... sorry... :D

Seriously, Ms. Proby knows her stuff... was it perfect, nope. Was it enjoyable and made me glad I read it, absolutely.

This franchise is so strong, I am primed and ready for the next installment. Let's see: Brother Matt, a cop with a little Kink and a past encounter. 2014 is looking very Seattle with me :D

The next book is coming with her brother Will, the Seattle Seahawk's star player.

OMG!! Amazing! It had me laughing, crying, angry, frustrated, hot! So good. Probably one of my favorites from the series. Brynna is so sweet to her girls Josie and Maddie and she is a good mother to them. I understand what she went through to get to Seattle, and I feel for her. No one should have to go through that, but it lead her to Caleb. Oh Caleb...he is such a hunk of hotness. Let's face it they all are. He is so sweet to her girls and I love how he is so dominating with Brynna. Hot HOt HOT!! ;) He is her protector for the time being and he has to deal with his feeling for Brynna and growing feelings for the girls and also deal with all that he went through as SEAL. It's sad and it's sad to know that most of our soldiers go through this when they return home. (Thank you to any of you who read it and are in the military or were.) I LOVED the ending!! It made me cry dammit! :') I loved this book. NOW, give me Matt's! I can't wait to read his, especially after that scene with Nic. Hello, you can't leave me hanging like that Kristen Proby!! Haha love your books girl. Got some amazing talent!! :)

***3.5 stars***

This is the book I've been waiting for ever since we were introduced to Caleb.....a broody protective Navy SEAL....SOLD!

Unfortunately, the book didn't quite meet my expectations. The potential with the story was there, but something (and I'm not sure I can put my finger on it) fell a little flat.

Maybe I should have re-read the little snippets of Caleb and Brynna from the other books before starting this one, but I just didn't feel that strong of a connection between the two.

description

However, Caleb and Brynna's daughters......sigh.....just melted my heart. I loved every scene involving those three.

description

He cared for the twins from the very beginning and stepped into a "Daddy" role so effortlessly, that he didn't even realize it.

Caleb's enthusiasm for other things......shined bright like a diamond, the stars, the moon.....the sun. I mean seriously, I'm surprised my Kindle didn't melt into a puddle in my hands. Caleb is one talented man!

description

And don't even get me started on the whole scene where the girls were watching him workout......HOT DAMN!!

description

Speaking of the girls.....Ms. Proby had me laughing my ass off any time this gang got together......we have some potty-mouthed, sex crazed women here.

Overall the book fell just short of expectations and its full potential, but it did do a great job of continuing the message of the importance of family and friendship that this series really centers around.

The ending of this one set us up for what could be QUITE the interesting book with Matt. Book #2 (Jules and Nate's story) so far continues to be my favorite.

5 stars – Contemporary Erotic Romance

I loved this!

I was somewhat underwhelmed by the first book in this series, Come Away With Me, but I’m soooo glad I kept reading because the rest have been some of my favorite reads of this year; not to mention having some of the most memorable, swoonalicious heroes. (Nate McKenna from Fight With Me is one of my all-time favorite husband harem worthy heroes!)

I had high expectations for this one from all the circling and tension that’s built between Caleb and Brynna in past books, and it definitely delivered. Caleb is a hot/cold, growly, sexy alpha SEAL hero with a sensitive, caring, protective nature who’s also vulnerable and tormented by inner demons and PTSD. Brynna is a strong and loyal heroine and she was perfect for him. I loved them together! I also adored Caleb’s relationship with Brynna’s inquisitive, vivacious twin six-year-old girls, Maddie and Josie. There were some very precious and poignant moments between them. And the ending and epilogue was satisfying and brought on some waterworks.

I love the close-knit Montgomery family and all their extended clan. One of the best things about this series is the relationships and interactions between all the characters and how much involvement there is in each book. The sexual teasing and hilarity that often results when the men and women get together provide some of the best and most highly entertaining moments. (The scene I posted below is one such instance.)

I can’t wait for hot, protective cop with a kinky side Matt’s book, Tied With Me, to come out! And I really hope she writes Dom’s story!

I loved this scene when the gang’s all together playing a dirty board game and Caleb is still trying to deny and resist his strong attraction and feelings for Brynna.

I drop my face to my hands and scrub hard.

"I wish I had your boobs," I hear Sam announce and raise my head to see who she's talking to. Of course, she's talking to Bryn.

"Right," she smirks and takes another bite of brownie.

"Dude, I do!" And just like that, Sam saunters across the room and cups Brynna's tit in her palm. "See? You have the perfect boobs. Stace, have you felt her boobs?"

Just kill me. Put a bullet in my head and end the agony.

"Oh yeah," Stacy waves her off. "She has great tits."

She has amazing tits.

"I wanna feel!" Jules bounces over and joins in.

"Give me more chocolate and you can touch all you want." Brynna laughs and then glances over at me. "This is the most action I've had in months."

"Motherfuckingsonofawhore." I grumble.

"Is Brynna single?" Mark asks Will.

"Keep your fucking hands off her," I growl at him before I know what's coming out of my mouth.

"Hey," he holds his hands up in surrender and laughs. "It was just an innocent question."

I’ll be damned if I’ll screw this up for her. I’m too fucked up for anything long-term, and she deserves nothing less.

I've been looking forward to Caleb and Brynna's story for a while now. Kristen Proby definitely knows how to write a steamy as hell romance. While I can't say this book will be making to my favorites list, I did enjoy it.

When a tragic event forces Brynna and her twin daughters to fear their safety, they pick up their life in Chicago and move to Seattle where Brynna's cousin lives. It's been a year since the incident that sent them into hiding, and Brynna is finally starting to settle into a somewhat normal life until a threat rises up again and she has no choice but to accept protection in the form of her walking fantasy, Caleb Montgomery.

Brynna has been lusting after Caleb for months, but Caleb insists on a hands off friendship. He doesn't think that he's capable of a relationship; his experiences as a SEAL left him broken and damaged. He doesn't think that he has anything to offer Brynna or her girls. But that doesn't mean that he stops wanting her any less.

Caleb still suffers horrendous nightmares from his past tours. He thinks he's broken, damaged, not worthy of someone like Brynna.

Brynna was a wonderful heroine. She was strong, in a very understated way. She wasn't a pushover or whine when she didn't get her way. I loved the way that she handled Caleb and his problems. She was understanding and patient.

Caleb was just pure sex on a stick. Kristen Proby definitely did not disappoint in the sex department. This book was HOT. When Caleb finally gave in to the red hot passion between them IT.WAS.ON.

These two just burned up the pages together. It wasn't just all Caleb, I really liked how Brynna went after what she wanted and didn't shy away from getting it.

She gave as good as she got.

Brynna's girls were adorable, and I especially enjoyed Caleb's interaction with them. It was incredibly sweet.

We also get to catch up with all the characters from the past books and find out how their relationships have developed, which was great.

So why only 4 stars? Well, while I loved Caleb and Brynna, and Brynna and Caleb together, and the super steamy scenes, I just didn't connect that much with this book as I did with Rock with Me.

I think my biggest quibble was the "suspense" part of this book. I felt like it was really glossed over and just a quick filler. In the beginning, it explained Brynna's move, and then the reason for Brynna to need Caleb's protection, but then it sort of just fizzled out? The way that it resolved just felt entirely too glossed over. I just felt like something was missing. It seemed like there was all this build up, and then in the end the quick resolution just fell slightly flat. I'm not even sure why I think that, and I very well may be in the minority with my opinion. But whatever the reason may be, it still just didn't feel like a 5 star book for me.

What I'm very happy about? The little teaser we get into Matt's book in the end. Sweet baby jebus! I am ALL about the dirty and kinky cops.

Bring it on! I cannot wait.

Let’s get this straight, Brynna. I want you so fucking bad my teeth ache. I’ve wanted you for months. But you’re part of my family, and I’m supposed to be protecting you. Dropping my guard and fucking you into the mattress is not the way to keep any of you whole.

Oh, Caleb!! I’ve been so looking forward to his story. I mean, who can resist a battle-weary, hot as fuck, totally gorgeous Navy SEAL? I know I can’t and Caleb’s story, I’m so happy to report, does not disappoint.

He’s the latest Montgomery brother to have a starring role and this one has been building for a while, ever since Under the Mistletoe With Me when we first learned that Brynna was coming back to town with her twin daughters and that she was running from something. Brynna has witnessed something that could put hers and her daughter’s lives in jeopardy and the Montgomery Clan are not going to stand aside and leave it to fate – these man are going to pull out all the stops to protect her. It falls to Caleb to move in with her when the threat appears to escalate and now he is having to fight his overwhelming attraction to her as well!

Caleb just about broke my heart. He may be big, muscle-bound, tough and seemingly fairly stoic but, make no mistakes, he’s a broken man. He’s got a really bad case of PTSD and is carrying around a heavy burden of guilt as he blames himself for things that were not really his fault. He can’t see this though and his lack of self-worth, his low self-esteem were really heart-breaking to read. This is a man who has served and suffered for his country and yet he considers himself not good enough for Brynna – he is convinced that a man like him does not deserve happiness or the love of a good woman. He really made my heart hurt. I just wanted to take him in my arms and soothe away all that emotional pain.

Of course he’s sexy as hell and has set himself up a make-shift gym at Brynna’s place and I had to giggle at this scene when all the girls were round her house and Caleb was working out!

Meg smirks and glances out the back window. “Damn,” she whispers.

“What is it?” Nat asks and rises from the table to see what Meg is looking at. Her eyes widen and she glances back at me and then outside again. “Holy shit.”

I know exactly what they’re watching.

Or, who.

And yes, it is a sight to behold.

“How do you ever get anything done around here?” Meg asks as I rise and lean against the sliding glass door, coffee cradled in my hands, and watch the sexy man in my backyard. “I’d just stand around and watch him all day.”

Brynna is a great addition to the series – she’s a seriously loyal and very genuine heroine. She’s raised her babies mostly alone and it hasn’t been easy but she’s stuck to her principles and has done a great job and all that’s missing in her life is a good man to watch out for her and her girls and to love her. She wants Caleb to be that man but she can’t understand his hesitation – they share an almost combustible attraction to one another and his refusal to give her more than the physical leads us into an angsty, emotional romance. Just the way I like ‘em!!

We get to catch up with all of our previous heroes and heroines and see what they’re all up to and there’s some fantastic surprises and some fairly big shocks in store ahead for the Montgomeries. We also get to know the mysterious and darkly brooding Matt a little better in this one – I am SO looking forward to his story and we get a little glimpse of what may be ahead for him at the end of Safe With Me.

I declare today Caleb Montgomery Day!

Brynna was introduced to us first in Under The Mistletoe With Me, we didn't know her back story but we knew that the Montgomery men were protecting her and her girls. And as the story of this family that has pure fire in their DNA was continued we didn't learn more about Byrnna other than she had an attraction to Caleb that was not one sided.

Safe With Me starts off with the details of Brynna's past. The reasons that led her to the safety of her family in Seattle and eventually into the fold of the Montgomery Clan. Caleb has always been the bruiting brother, the Navy Seal that hasn't always been at the forefront of the other stories, but for some reason has captured the hearts of the readers of this series. His whole world revolved around protection and keeping others safe, it was what he was trained to do and it was in his blood. So when the woman that caught his eye needed protection, he stepped up. But he thought he would have enough restraint to keep his distance. But he underestimated the pull that he had to this woman and her two little girls, his woman - his girls.

Caleb and Brynna's story was pure sugar to my senses. And those damn Montgomery men (and yes I include Luke, Nate & Leo into group) might just be the cause of several ruined pairs of panties. We get a great mix of those fun drunk girls doing insane things and even better, we get a all male version when the men head out for a poker night.

The whole gang just seems to get better with each book, and just as we get to continue on with each of their stories, Kristen Proby has a way to pull us right into the world of the next book and leave us just a little more intrigued than before. Matt's story is no doubt going to be hotter than sin, but I have a feeling he is going to have his work cut out for him.

There are so many fantastic moments in this book that make your heart swell, your sides hurt from laughing and make your knees go weak. I am not sure what it was about Caleb that just drew me in. But watching him care for Brynna and her girls was just melts your heart.

Such tender love from such a alpha-male that is struggling so hard to come to terms with his own worth.

Now the wait begins for Tied With Me, which I am not sure I can stand it!

This was a nice reading...

"Safe with me" is the 5th book from "With me in Seattle". In this book we read about Caleb and Brynna's story and how they got their HEA!

From this series I have only read "Play with me" which I LOVED because Will was AMAZING, so I have met the whole Montgomery family with the hot brothers. So I gave this one a try because I was in the mood for some ex SEAL and and a mother of 2 cute little girls! Of course we saw a lot of the previous characters too.

The book was an easy and good reading! There were a lot of hot and sweaty sex scenes, because when they started enjoying each other there was no stopping them...But that was it nothing special just an ok book!

My favorite scenes were when Caleb and Brynna were with the girls and doing everyday things, they were such a cute family together. And of course I enjoyed when the whole family gathered and had some fun and teased each other. They were pretty funny...

Can't wait for Caleb the hot headed sexy Navy Seal, Yummy, yummy, yummy...

Ok, just finished and I must say I am not disappointed. Caleb is everything I thought he would be. Too hot and sexy for words, moody, intense, protective, passionate, stubborn, wonderful with the twins and totally in love with Brynna. Brynna is a perfect match for Caleb. She is also stubborn, but she knows when to push back and when to let Caleb have his way. I loved their story.

The family continues to be a large focus of the stories and for me that adds to the pleasure of reading them. I enjoy catching up on everyone. I can't wait for Matt and Nic's story. That is going to be HOT! Plus Dominic has to have his HEA. More sexy Montgomery men!? Yes, please!

Thank you Kristen for writing such a personal story. Also thank you to your husband and you and your family for your service to our country. Without the brave men and women of the military where would we be...

Happy reading!!

The With Me in Seattle series has a way of leaving you feeling happy.. Thank you Kristen Proby for introducing us to these delicious and hot men: Luke, Nate, Leo, and of course the Montgomery brothers.

Safe With Me is the 5th installment of the series and focuses on Caleb Montgomery and Brynna Vincent. First and foremost, Caleb is YUMMM!!! Before reading Safe with Me, I loved Will Montgomery but after reading this book, I must say Will has some serious stiff competition with his older brother. Caleb earned major swoon points when he took charge to ensure the safety and protection of Brynna and her girls.

We were first introduced to Brynna in Under the Mistletoe when she mysteriously returned back to Seattle with some major secret. Fast forward a year later back in her hometown and surrounded by her family and close friends, Caleb Montgomery takes charge in his alpha male protective role to ensure that Brynna and her two girls, Maddie and Josie are safe from any threats. The sexual tension and chemistry between Brynna and Caleb are off the charts..

Caleb tries to denies his attraction and stepping over the imaginary line since Brynna is practically like family but there so much a man can resist. Caleb finds himself loving Brynna and her twin girls... HIS GIRLS!! He was just so sweet to her daughters and treated them like they were his own. I totally fell in love with Maddie and Josie. They were simply adorable and cute.

Caleb and Brynna story was just pure bliss. I LOVED THEM!! The sexual chemistry between these two was HOT!! The emotions were so RAW and heartfelt. I felt Caleb's pain as he battle's with his own personal demons of dealing with PTSD. It takes a real man to step up to be a father and a partner and Caleb showcases that he will do anything for his girls. I love that Kristen Proby never forgets to incorporate the other Montgomery men (I'm going to include Luke, Nate and Leo to this group) as well as their ladies into the story. I just love how supportive and loving this family is.

Ultimately, Safe With Me meets all my romance novel needs: a strong lead heroine, a HOT alpha male, humor and heart warming banter between these beloved characters, super hot sex, and of course a happily ever after ending.

I can't wait to read about Matt in the next book!! Can it be spring 2014 already?

This series is such a go to for me when I’m looking for something not too heavy, sexy, with a family I just adore. Safe With Me is definitely a favorite of this series, I really enjoyed it!

Brynna (Stacy’s cousin) and her twin girls suddenly moved to Seattle from Chicago. There has been some mystery surrounding why exactly she came back which is quickly addressed in the first chapter. Something she saw could have put her in danger and she was advised to leave town as soon as possible and lay low. While it’s a secret from the rest of the family, three of the Montgomery men have been helping her out along the way. Isaac gave her a job and pays her under the table, Matt uses his connections as a detective to keep an eye on things, and Caleb is there to keep her safe.

Caleb and Brynna have been dancing around their attraction to each other for over a year, ever since she’s been back in Seattle. Little things here and there have been mentioned in past books, meaningful glances and vague lines that leaving you wanting to know just want is happening with them. So, finally we get to find out. Rumors of a potential threat make their way to Matt and the book begins with Matt and Caleb insisting that Brynna live with one of them. Caleb quickly makes it known that he is going to protect her and will be moving in. Immediately. This makes for an interesting set up considering the amount of tension that is already present between them.
For more than a year now, I’ve wanted to feel him over me, holding me.
Inside me.
And there have been moments when I know he felt the same way, but he’s never crossed the line of friendship.
Damn him.

Caleb is extremely protective when it comes to the safety of Brynna and her daughters, Josie and Maddie. As a recently retired Navy SEAL, he’s specially trained, very intense, and dealing with the trauma of being a war veteran. This is where his reluctance to start anything with Brynna stems from and it makes for some delicious sexual tension.
“No,” he whispers and gently pulls his fingers away.
“What?” I whisper back, still looking at his lips, and my stomach flutters when he licks them.
“Don’t look at me like that.”
My eyes rise to his. “Like what?”
“Like you want me to kiss you.”
“I do want you to kiss me.”

There is a little bit of push and pull, which I liked. But, as is usual with all the With Me in Seattle books, it doesn’t take long for the couple to give into their desire for each other and we get plenty of sexy time. The number of sex scenes in this one seemed much more balanced that I’ve noticed in previous books, so that was nice to see.
“Don’t fucking touch me like that again unless you plan to finish what you start.”
“Let’s get this straight, Brynna. I want you so fucking bad my teeth ache. I’ve wanted you for months. But you’re part of my family, and I’m supposed to be protecting you. Dropping my guard and fucking you into the mattress is not the way to keep any of you whole.”

I think Brynna is probably my favorite heroine of the series so far. She is a great balance of strong and independent but vulnerable at the same time. Her and Caleb are so perfect for each other and I loved how understanding she was of his past and the troubles he’s dealing with. “Safe with me” isn’t just meant as Caleb protecting her, but her making him feel deserving and safe as well and I liked that.
“Do you understand what it would do to me if someone got to you?” I explode and grip her shoulders in my hands. “It would destroy me if you or those babies were hurt, Brynna. You are necessary to my survival, goddamn it, and I’ll do whatever I have to do to keep you safe and whole, but I need you to talk to me when something feels wrong and I need you to do as you’re damn well told!”

I really liked this addition to the series. It was sweet seeing Caleb with Brynna and her girls. He's such an alpha but for them he softens and is just putty in their hands. I was thinking this was a solid, cute 3 star read for most of it, but the last 25% bumped it up for me. There is a pretty EPIC grovel and I loved how everyone handled things that happen. And OMG, the epilogue was perfection! All in all this was a great (audio) read that has me itching to continue on with Matt’s story next.

This one was

I would consider this series more of a "fluff" read. They are at times a bit cheesy....but they're entertaining and usually HOT and I get a few laughs out of them.

Safe With Me is Caleb and Brynna's story. I felt like there was a lot of mystery and intrigue and tension surrounding Caleb and Brynna in the previous books so I was looking forwad to seeing how they met and how their connection began. Only, we didn't really get that in this book. We find out what happened to Brynna to lead her back to Seattle but then it flashes forward a year and Caleb is now moving in with Brynna because some guy called asking questions about the Montgomery family.

And then it's like

They were together. Caleb ran hot and cold for a while there...making Brynna think he wanted her and then pulling back.

Caleb gave me a

He was really sweet and always put Brynna first. He was so loving with her two kids Josie and Maddie. But Caleb suffers from night terrors and attacks Brynna one night. Caleb and Brynna both love each other but Caleb doesn't feel like he deserves Brynna and he's afraid he'll hurt again if he has another nightmare.

Not much else happens plot wise. The threat against Brynna still lingers....little instances here and there--the creepy employee, the mailbox lurker, etc. Caleb and Brynna continue to grow closer together....and Caleb gets closer to Brynna's kids Josie and Maddie. They were like one big happy family.

Brynna utters those three little words that we all know they were both feeling and Caleb freaks. I was really disappointed in Caleb at this point. Not only was he not thinking of Brynna's feelings but most importantly Maddie and Josie's--they're six and they don't understand. IDK--once again, I just wasn't a fan of the conflict.

I also felt that the whole "threat" kind of went un-resolved or was under-developed or something. IDK. Again, this one was just okay for me. They are all starting to feel the same.... Nate and Jules still remain my favorite story, followed by Will and Meg.

Despite my lackluster feelings on this story in the series, I will read on. Looking forward to Matt's story and his kinky ways!

As many of you know, I adore this series and prior to reading Safe With Me, I was Team Will. Well I am sorry Mr. Montgomery, you have been traded for your older brother as I am proud to now say I am Team Caleb.

I have come to count on Ms. Proby’s books to deliver a range of emotions to the reader; which she delivered in spades, yes I shed a tear or two or three, yes I laughed my ass off and yes I closed my Kindle with this cast of characters even closer to my heart.

Safe With Me tells the story of Caleb Montgomery, the third in the Montgomery clan, the Navy Seal many of us loved in the background of the prior books in this series.

Well, first things first – this is Ms. Proby’s best book yet. Caleb is the most complex character she has written and the range of emotions this book pulled from me is hard to even put into words.

Ms. Proby has grown as a writer so much since book 1 Come Away With Me and although in prior reads she did an outstanding job using supporting characters to build the story, in this book she takes that to a whole new level.

Caleb’s love interest in Brynna Vincent, a single Mom to two little girls, Josie and Maddie; so in this story the secondary characters are truly part of the love story. Not just cute loving moments but real life, sick kids, grumpy kids and yes tender loving moments all bond them to each other.

The connection between Caleb and Brynna is something many of us have sensed in prior books and in this book it will grab you and not let go. These two banter, they push each other, they love each other and truly come to accept each other – dark pasts and all.

Caleb is a man who has returned to war wounded, not the wounds you can see but the ones that run deep into someone’s soul; Ms. Proby’s portrayal of PTSD was heartfelt, painful and will draw the reader to Caleb, even if at times you want to shake him.

Many of us read Rock With Me and just stared at our Kindles repeating Family Meeting ugghh.. I want the Family meeting NOW.

Over the past few months, I have been making many “guesses” about what this meeting would be about and let me just say HOLY COW… I doubt anyone would have guessed this. I can’t wait for readers to dive in and experience this meeting first hand. Ms. Proby will rock you to your core at this meeting, a meeting where many of her character express emotions so true to what she has developed, you feel like you are in the room with them and yes my knuckles were white from gripping my Kindle.

In Ms. Proby’s prior books, she used secondary characters but in this one – Wow, just Wow. They not only add to the story, they weave a story that makes you want to be part of this family. More than just Josie and Maddie; the whole cast is part of this wonderful journey.

Steve Monteomgery, the patriarch, has some wonderful scenes in this book; you will look at him in a new light and truly appreciate the relationship he has with each of his children even more after you read Safe With Me.

From a laughter stand-point, I thought nothing could top the mini-van scene from Will’s book Play with Me.. well let me know just say Poker Night, the American Girls dolls scene and a night out at the bar with this cast will now all make me smile just thinking about them!

So there are a few things I will not reveal as I believe the reader is entitled to experience the amazing journey the Montgomery family experiences in this book but I will simply say this story has me wanting to embrace this family as they come to a deeper understanding of what the word family truly means.

Kristen Proby is an Amazing writer; truly a brilliant mind, harnessing the voices in her head to create wonderfully entertaining stories with characters who will live in your heart long after you finish reading.

I am very much looking forward to Tied With Me, Matt Montgomery’s story as I now want to know more about this “kinky” brother and yes I want to see this family I now adore in the background loving each other so very much.

I am thrilled that this book came out a day before the release date! I had something to do today!!

I still find it hard to believe that "Come Away With Me" and "Safe With Me" are both from the same series. It really has come a long way. The first books is not nearly as dramatic as the most recent is.
That doesn't mean "Safe with Me" is the most dramatic book out there, just more problems than the first one.

This review may contain slight spoilers, if it is major I'll hide it.

Brynna is Stacy's first cousin, Stacy is Isaac Montgomery's wife, who is Jules' brother. Brynna takes her 2 twin girls to see her father (they are divorced). Her ex works as an undercover cop, but when she arrives at the house he is dead, murdered. She then goes to the Montgomery's for help and safety.
I'm not sure who she is running away from because they weren't much of a problem in this book

<-- spoiler has nothing to do with Brynna and Caleb, or any couples that have their own book.

In this book, we watch as Caleb and Brynna's relationship grow. Brynna and her 2 girls are under the protection of Caleb. It took Caleb a while, but he was finally able to convince himself that he is indeed good enough for the girls. (I don't get it, what is it with military men and thinking their not good enough, FUCK YOU WERE FIGHTING FOR OUR COUNTRY WHAT MAKES YOU NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!)
I really like Brynna, I misjudged her character while reading other books. I thought she would be all quiet, maybe a pushover, just really nice. NO, she was really cool, funny, and she cusses HA. She is really perfect for Caleb and vice versa, they need each other.

I like seeing the other couples in this book as well. I loved the growing and now talking Olivia, she sounds so adorable.

I can't wait for Matt's story. I actually wanted his story to come out before Caleb's. I know who he'll end up but the story won't come out until spring 2014!!!! WTF?!?!?

Great addition to the series!
*no cheating between Brynna and Caleb in this book. YAYAYAY

6 STARS!!!!!!!!

BOOK HANGOVER ALERT!!!

*sigh* This book…. This…book. Wow! I read it in ONE SITTING! For the life of me, I could NOT put it down. With Me in Seattle is my all-time favorite series, and out of all the books in it, Safe With Me became my favorite. I’m seriously blown away! A true page turner!
This is the 5th book in the series, but the 6th installment if you count the 1.5 Novella, Underneath the Mistletoe With Me, which is where we officially meet Brynna, Stacey’s first cousin. And YES, you SHOULD READ ALL THE OTHER BOOKS before starting this one. =)
“It would destroy me if you or those babies were hurt, Brynna. You are necessary to my survival, goddamn it, and I’ll do whatever I have to do to keep you safe…”

In book 4, Rock With Me, we got snippets of Caleb and Brynna’s story, and Kristen Proby did an amazing job incorporating the timelines. Since I don’t do spoiler reviews, I’m NOT going to go into details regarding the plot. It’s one of those books, where you really need to read it and experience it for yourself. Just trust me when I say, you won’t be able to stop turning the pages. There’s plenty of drama, twists, angst, humor (of course, these characters are freaking hilarious), romance, and – this goes without saying -- HOTNESS! *whistles* Boy! There were some lip-biting, thigh-clenching, steamy scenes in this book!!! *fans self*
“…his eyes are ice blue and when he pins me in his stare, I swear he can see right into the heart of me.”

This book has everything going for it. It was just perfect. There even were quite a few scenes where I literally laughed out loud -- most of those included Maddie and Josie. HA! Those have to be THE CUTEST 6-year old twins EVER! I promise, you’ll love them!
OH! Want to know something just purely awesome?? There’s DUAL POV!!!!!!!!! Squee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I read the chapter heading “CALEB”, I literally did a happy dance! I love, love, love male POVs!!! Especially, when it’s from one of the “Kristen Proby Men”. They are freaking HOT and 100% SWOON-WORTHY!!! I’m seriously in love with Caleb Montgomery!
“She’s so fucking beautiful she takes my breath away.”

*Sigh* I love him. I swear, this book is a brilliant work of art. I loved every part of it. The characters were as always, AMAZING, the story line was CAPTIVATING, and the ending was PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO.BUY.THIS.BOOK…. NOW!
“You are the best part of my life, Bryn.”

Safe With Me did not disappoint. Kristen Proby wrote another great Montgomery clan novel. This is one of my favorites series because in each book we get an ongoing glimpse of all our favorite characters from the previous books. I love the whole Montgomery clan. The scenes where they are all together are among my favorites. They're hilarious, loyal, and full of admiration for one another. Safe With Me will not be my favorite of the series because there were a few aspects of the book that I didn't care for but I enjoyed it enough and love all the characters enough to five star it and read it again someday. My one complaint I'll share is the book seemed quite short to me, shorter than the others. There are things about Caleb and Brynna pasts that were only touched upon, we never really learned anything in depth. However, the love they found for each other and for their kids was heartwarming. They needed each other to feel safe and protected. They were both running from their pasts, hoping not to get caught and ended up running right to each other. There are some very hot scenes in this; they're chemistry undeniable. They fall in love hard and fast but try and protect each other and themselves from that love too. Some major events happen with the family in this book and I was happy with them. The brood is growing is more ways than one. I can't wait to read Matt and Nic's story.

Hmmm....this book didn't do it quite as nice as the others for me. Nate, Luke, and Will are still the tits for sure. Caleb Montgomery is the former Navy Seal of the bro's. And Brynna is Stacy's cousin (I think)..its book 5, the connections can get fuzzy with this cast of characters.

Caleb is protecting Brynna from an outside threat, that was just awkward I felt in the storyline. It didn't make a ton of sense on how some of these supposed "scares" were tied to said threat. Even at the end, still didn't add up for me, but oh well. Cause we got SEX!! Yes, more hot monkey sex. So the hotness factor was still there. And I loved how good Caleb was with Brynna's girls. And of course, love to see the whole fam in action. Where the book lost some points with me is around 80% where Caleb has to play the ever cliche dumbass card. .

Bad Caleb, very bad.

Meh...this was too sickly sweet for me. I fancied an easy read but this was so beige it barely made any impact on me at all. I wasn't feeling the chemistry between this couple; they were attracted to one another from the start and barely had to work for it. He was supposedly living with her to protect her (with him being a former navy Seal and all) but the jeopardy never felt particularly sinister or threatening. Actually the only thing that affected me at all was the frequent urge to cringe at the cheesy moments. Everyone is rich, attractive and has some sort of talent. Even the fucking dog is a war hero ffs. Mine just lies next to me and farts all the time - like me, he'd never pass muster in a Kristen Proby book.

And like a chump I bought the box set.

Oh, those Montgomery men. Be still my heart, they are so, so amazing! And I have just completely fallen for Caleb.

“For the love of all that’s holy this man is pure, unadulterated sex on a fucking stick.”

Mmmhmm! Middle brother, ex Navy Seal, and somewhat quieter than the rest of his siblings, Caleb has flown under the radar in previous books, but the chemistry between him and Brynna has been building steadily throughout the series, and I have been so excited to get to their book!

Brynna is the cousin of Stacy (wife of Isaac Montgomery), and came into the series earlier in the series when she very quietly and mysteriously arrived in town with her adorable twin daughters, Maddie and Josie. This book starts by taking us back to witness the moment that has Brynna and her girls running to the safety of Seattle and the Montgomery clan in the first place. Back to the present day, the danger from her past is now a very real threat, and Caleb rocks up on her doorstep, announcing that he is moving in to protect the three of them. Being in such close proximity, Brynna and Caleb can’t deny the attraction between them, but with Caleb in full-on protector mode, it is Brynna who is initially the aggressor, and I LOVED that!

“Don’t look at me like that”
My eyes rise to his. “Like what?”
“Like you want me to kiss you.”
“I do want you to kiss me.”

Brynna is sensational! I absolutely love her! She is kind, brave, confident and funny. Her girls are her absolute world, and she’s a fantastic mother to them. And I love the fact that she is prepared to stand up to Caleb and fight for what she wants. Caleb is determined to keep his distance in order to protect Bryn and her girls. But he is definitely feeling the attraction!

“Caleb?” My heart is beating hard, and I’m still pissed at him. He’s smiling … but when his eyes meet mine, he sobers.
“Yeah.”
“Don’t fucking touch me like that again unless you plan to finish what you start.”
His eyes go hard and his jaw tightens. Before I can turn and walk away, he grabs my wrist and pulls me against him, pinning my arms between our bodies.
“Let’s get this straight, Brynna. I want you so fucking bad my teeth ache. I’ve wanted you for months. But you’re part of my family, and I’m supposed to be protecting you. Dropping my guard and fucking you into the mattress is not the way to keep any of you whole.”

Hot damn! The UST continues to build as Brynna doesn’t hide her feelings, and Caleb continues to battle his attraction. And family night with the rest of the clan is freaking hilarious as they continue to dance around each other.

I drop my face to my hands and scrub hard.
“I wish I had your boobs,” I hear Sam announce and raise my head to see who she’s talking to.
Of course, she’s talking to Bryn.
“Right,” she smirks and takes another bite of brownie.
“Dude, I do!” And just like that, Sam saunters across the room and cups Brynna’s tit in her palm. “See? You have the perfect boobs. Stace, have you felt her boobs?”
Just kill me. Put a bullet in my head and end the agony.
“Oh yeah,” Stacey waves her off. “She has great tits.”
She has amazing tits.
“I wanna feel!” Jules bounces over and joins in.
“Give me more chocolate and you can touch all you want.” Brynna laughs and then glances over at me. “This is the most action I’ve had in months.”
“Motherfuckingsonofawhore.” I grumble.

And when they finally cave into the passion between them, it’s absolutely sensational! Caleb is hot, hot, hot, and the two of them together are just dynamite! And not just in the bedroom. They make a fantastic couple, and I love how things between them develop as their attraction deepens and becomes so much more.

“It would destroy me if you or those babies were hurt, Brynna. You are necessary to my survival, goddamn it.”

And it’s not just Caleb and Brynna’s relationship that we get to enjoy, but also Caleb’s relationship with Maddie and Josie. I swear, almost every interaction he had with those little girls absolutely melted me! Every. Single. Time. The twins are so adorable, and Caleb is amazing with them. And the bond that develops between them is beautiful!

But Bryn’s problems are not the only ones they have to face. Caleb has been left damaged by his combat experiences, and the extent of this is revealed in some truly heartbreaking scenes that surprised and devastated me, leading to an emotional climax that had me a bit teary. But, of course, there is a fantastic happy ending which, again, had me a bit teary, leaving me swooning madly and desperately wanting more.

“God, she can destroy me with just a look. I’ve faced horrors that no man or woman should have to see and faced them without qualms, but this woman and her two daughters bring me to my knees.”

The rest of the family are involved along the way, with lots of time spent with both the boys and the girls. There is some fantastic progression in some of their individual stories, and a pretty huge twist for the rest of the series that I didn’t see coming, but I really liked it!

Once again Kristen Proby has given us a gorgeously emotional romance with plenty of steam and lots of laugh out loud moments with her ever-growing cast of characters. Her writing has evolved really beautifully since the first book of the series, and I find myself getting more drawn into these books as I read each one. My love affair with this series continues, and I can’t wait for more with Matt and Nic.
