Ranting about nothing very interesting.

:-) I wrote it before I left.

But even better than that, it has a wee story!

Enjoy.

One of the things that has always impressed me about the better restaurants in Baku is that they have little stools they pull up to the table for you to put your bag on.

I should clarify that my 'handbag' is a backpack that has more airmiles on it than some cabin crew. And I'd probably be better off worrying about the crud its picked up from overhead lockers than what's on a loo floor.

I think I'd look askance at somebody who put something like that on the table ;-)

Reminds me of the time Dave and I rucked up in a place in Mombasa. We'd been two days hard driving from Kampala. Absolutely filthy. We'd stayed the night before in a crap hotel on the border with no water but safe parking. Just pressed on in the morning.
Anyway, we turned up at this five star hotel on the beach. One of those places with blocks of ice in the urinals that I've mentioned in the past. We had no intention of staying there but we drove up, were ushered in, had our car driven off and washed, were given a redickalus reduced room rate as we were East African resident.
It was one the Hemingway hotels.
Really must scan the photos into Facebook one day.

Gak! It sounds even grosser than my old one.

It should be a decent length, with a waist belt at the bottom which takes most of the weight, and then the straps don't ride up

Bless you that's OK. Thanks for passing it on, I have a lot of new followers after this one so am thinking some of them could have come from your sharing.
Cheers

Glad you have some new followers. Only you could have an auto correct like that!

Please don't apologise for laughing. I think a lot of people in my boat really want to laugh at it, ourselves. And it was meant to be funny. :-)

Thanks for the share Jim, I hope it helps people. I've had a few people locally say how much they enjoy these posts and how they like having permission to laugh about this stuff.
Cheers

I use Draft2digital for most of it. There's also Smashwords but while they distribute to libraries etc they only distribute to the us in a lot of cases whereas d2d seem to distribute world wide to the places they distribute to. I use both: Smashwords for more small or obscure outlets, d2d for the biggies. D2d lets you change individual currency prices etc. Very handy if you get a Bookbub that stipulates the actual price in rupees etc.
Hope that helps."
Thanks MT that was useful. Still haven't quite reached the stage of publication yet, groan, this edit goes on and on, and sorry I didn't respond sooner. Haven't been much on GR the last few months apart from posting reviews of books.

There's a bit of a thing then! ;-)

No risk. I'm often not keen on the sauce but I do like the butter! ;-)
