K what did you think of Truly Madly Guilty? I read it a couple of months ago, and although it was good I didn't feel it matched up to her others.

I actually found our library has the It Ends with Us audiobook!! YAY!!

And this whole thing is an addiction!! You guys are simply enabling and encouraging my addiction....and I'm LOVING IT!! heehee!!

BTW....the BF returns from work this evening and he tends to make me participate in RL more than I do when he's gone. So for the next two weeks I may not be able to get as many books done as I did this last week :-(

I liked it! It reminded me of may all-time favorite of hers - Big Little Lies, but I agree that it's not quite AS good as that one!

I went back and read some of her older ones and haven't liked those quite as much as the newer ones she has been putting out.

Hi Valentines. In perusing your spreadsheet for the mini-challenge, I think I found a book that doesn't qualify - A Long Walk to Water. I wanted to read it, and checked it out. It is over 100 pages, but does not meet the 25,000 word requirement. So which rule takes precedent? I'm waiting for a response, I'm hoping it still counts, I've often wondered about the 100 pages/25,000 word requirement myself since I teach fifth grade and read a lot of middle grade novels so I know what the kids are reading.

It was used in Hand 3 for a Draw 2 in your spreadsheet, so you might want to change that out so you get the points for those cards and the hand if it turns out it doesn't qualify.

Please know that I did not mean this in a "tattletale" kind of way. I actually wanted to read it since it related to the book, Home of the Brave that I read to my fifth graders.

Just saw Karen's reply, the book doesn't count. Sorry, ladies.

But maybe it's a good thing, because if someone had caught it after you turned in your sheet, you wouldn't get points for those cards, and that hand, or any of your 10 hands after that (I think) since you have to have the previous hand complete in order to points for the later ones. Silver lining?

Ah well....I didn't realize it was a children's book when my friend gave it to me but I saw it was over 100 pages so I didn't even think to check the word count. Thank you for catching that!

Yes.. and now when I mark them read - Alot of times I have to go back and add today's date instead of it being automatically set to today.
