BTW team Jack Torrance is out Valentine pairing for the mini challenge, off to have a nosey on their shelves!
I missed the mini-challenge info! What do we need to do?
just reading up on it, looks like it's basically reading off of the other teams shelves, only books started 14-28th count lots of other challenges, buy to be honest I would think most books on here would probably fit, apart from "read a book set in China" lol

Well our quote is a Stephen King one, and I think that Jack Torrance is the only SK character in UNO ..........off to check again lol
Wonderful! I didn't notice they already posted Valentines! Silje and I think that it might be easier if we "claimed" points in the mini-challenge to avoid doubling up on them. Especially Part Two. For example, I have a book that would fit the "writing letters" part of the challenge. And I believe she found a book that was published on February 14th. What do you guys think?
And I re-read the rules and the post in our thread means that we are their Valentine. We need to find the team that has a quote from our book.

Hahahaha!! I understand how easy it is for the excitement to cloud the brain! Needless to say I'm not especially productive in the unpacking task anymore *sigh*

yes unpacking is not the best, audio is the way forward for that task

Congratulations!! And don't stress this is supposed to be fun and not another school assignment :-)
With the mini-challenge I think we each need to "claim" the challenge(s) we would like so we don't have duplicates. If you would each review the Valentine tab on the spreadsheet and let us know which one(s) you would like and we will put your name down. Normally I wouldn't be the first one to try and claim a challenge but I really, really, REALLY HAVE TO read Too Late because it FINALLY showed up! And the only challenge I can see that it fits is the "Read a book with a 3 in the page count". V or K can you let me know if there would be a different challenge you think the book would fit?
I also have a fairly short book that has been on my TBR that would fit the "character writes a letter" challenge.
Let me know what you guys think and which challenges you would like to complete.
K~terror, I noticed you had marked Glass Sword as a TBR and I came across that one in Valentine team Joe's shelf read 02/26/16 and it was also published 02/09/16. So if you decide to read that one it could work in a couple sections.
Oh yes! Thanks for the heads up in that one. I'll definitely line that book up to read next! I'll take a look at the tab when I can so not sure if that counts as a claimed spot or not, but I'll take it if it is!
I also asked the mods if a couple of us read the same book if it can count more than once and they said yes so that will definitely make it easier.

Awesome V! Thank you! I'm going to move it to that spot because that's a harder one to fill than the page count. I marked your choices down. I entered The Widow in the third section of Part One with a note that it would also work for the first two sections in case we need to shuffle towards the end.
It's looking like I'm on track to finish all my started books today. I don't have a "real" one going and I'm trying to finish my ebook and not start another "real" book until tomorrow. I am half way through my ebook and only have 20 minutes left of my audiobook. But I do have a short one hour audiobook I'll probably listen to today that unfortunately isn't long enough to count for UNO but it's a good little filler to hold me over until tomorrow.

We can use the same book for one card in the regular game and one in the mini-challenge.
I can take character with a pet-task, Kate Daniels got herself a dog in the last book, I expect him to be there in the next as well=)
