Hello team Heathcliff!

Coming over to you from your valentine Yvaine :)

I hope you have all found some books on our shelves that you would like to read.

Wuthering Heights is one of my all time favourite books. I fell in love with it as a teenager when I found a copy in my grandmother's books. I have various editions from 1920 through to about 1990 and I re-read the book every year or so.
Heathcliff in particular is one of my favourite literary characters. When I first read the book I couldn't stand him! As the years have gone by I find myself thinking of him differently, even with sympathy. And that is one of the reasons why I love the book so much, it gives me different thoughts and feelings on each read. Oh, and I've seen it done as a play multiple times too.
Now I've said all of that.... Maybe I'm on the wrong team? LOL!

Paula Reyes Wagner (paurw) | 784 comments Now, I'd like to know if we're going to plan the mini challenge, because those are a loooot of books to read and some are quite difficult (specially Part 1)
I did a little research to make things easier =)

Read a book your valentine team has read this month
Karen's read this month:
Pearl in a Cage by Joy Dettman A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr The Ship of Brides by Jojo Moyes Hag-Seed The Tempest Retold by Margaret Atwood Wonder by R.J. Palacio Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens Breakfast at Tiffany's by Truman Capote

Nikk's read this month:
Never Never (Never Never, #1) by Colleen Hoover Weddings, Crushes, and Other Dramas (Creative HeArts, #6; Willa and Finn, #2) by Emily McKay Guardian of Secrets (Library Jumpers, #2) by Brenda Drake Falling for the Girl Next Door (Creative HeArts, #5; Sloane and Tru, #2) by Tera Lynn Childs The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen Dark Serpent (Celestial Battle, #1) by Kylie Chan The Shadow Queen (Ravenspire, #1) by C.J. Redwine The Light of the Fireflies by Paul Pen Changeless (Parasol Protectorate, #2) by Gail Carriger Dangerous Tides (Drake Sisters, #4) by Christine Feehan The Black Key (The Lone City, #3) by Amy Ewing

Stardust by Neil Gaiman Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman The Girl Who Played with Fire (Millennium, #2) by Stieg Larsson InterWorld (InterWorld, #1) by Neil Gaiman The Silver Dream (InterWorld, #2) by Neil Gaiman

We need to read only 5 books from this list, currently I'm reading Stardust (read by Dima), I know Sophie's reading Hag-seed (read by Karen) and that she intends to read Neverwhere (read by Dima). So we have covered at least 2 books from this task :D
Is anyone else reading one of these books?

The idea is not to read more books than needed, because there are other tasks in this mini challenge.
I can research for the other tasks too if needed :P

message 142: by Katie (new)

Katie | 230 comments Wow Paula! This is so helpful. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this.

I'm going to be reading Force of Temptation (read by Sally) soon. I think the problem is that the books I'd be interested in reading are mostly in the middle of series and I can't just hop into the middle of a series. Depending on how my other challenges are going, I could read a couple more.

I'm finding a lot of options/book for Part 2 of the Valentine's challenge, so hopefully that section will be easier to complete.

message 143: by Louise (new)

Louise | 1282 comments I need to read What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty for another challenge. I think the Valentine's cards will be the easiest to read for
