Oh I've never read the Chicagoland Vampires, but always meant to pick up the first book to check out the series. If you're ranking it up there with Kate, I might have to make that sooner rather than later ;-)But awesome! I'm glad you've enjoyed the first book so much, and they definitely do keep getting better. Just wait for the catnip to start making an appearance. It'll be fantastic.

Unfortunately the numbers have to be on their own to count. 84 counts as a number, and not the individual ones. :(
No worries, Chris! There's still several other options for the book and that's more than enough to find a spot for it :-)
This new book is a nice easy read so, work permitting, I should be able to finish it in 2 or 3 days. It looks good so far.

Do you have plans for the weekend? It's really lovely weather here today, blue skies, sun shining - it's a nice change from the drizzle we had most of the week. And it puts me in the mood to... wait for it... it's shocking, I know... to tidy up! Spring clean of sorts, but in small amounts ;-)
We are getting a cold front here and we went from beautiful warm sunny days earlier this week to cold and gray. It doesn't make me want to tidy. It makes me want to curl up with a book or books. Good luck with tidying.

I'll let you know what's next when I decide tomorrow. It's beddy-byes for me for now as I have three Full English breakfasts to do at 7 am. Yay!

My plans for the weekend are my son's rugby games out of town. So I just got to the hotel from watching 2 full games in the cold and wind, 30 degree weather. Brrr! We've been on the go since 7:00 am, so I'm pretty tuckered out. Dinner then maybe some reading, then sleep so we can do it all again tomorrow!

It was a good day, in spite of the cold. We won both games today but the other teams were much newer at rugby - these were like 'exhibition' or pre-season for us and, really, developmental for them. Tomorrow, though, we play a nationally ranked team that beat us last year 85-5. Yes, really. 85. So, tomorrow might not be so fun ;-)

My weekend will consist of reading, cooking, laundry, a trip to Walmart, a pedicure & a nice dose of the Walking Dead! The last 2 will be my favorites!
