Thanks for sharing Fresiako! Where did you find this? Is there more where it came from?

Whoa.
Thanks for posting this, Fresiako.
Jesus, KMM's Q&A always lead to more Qs than A's lol.
I thought of a connection between UK, DEG and Dancer from the beginning, but I have no idea what it might be grr... Too little info to speculate on that front.
But I'm with you guys, I hope he doesn't come back from the dead, I'm tired of that.
I wonder what clue is she talking about.
BTW, did you catch DEG introducing himself as Rain to the concubine? As in... Book of Rain? (ICED)?

in the feversong spoiler group on facebook. Someone posted the spoiler q&a she did at her launch. There's a couple more questions she answered that I didn't share.

omg gurl. i didn't even catch that. so DEG wrote the book of rain? Maybe? Or his name just happens to be rain?

She said that on fb, on the Moning Maniacs group.
I can't wait to read her answers, but I'm kinda scared too, her answers always lead to more questions. lol

With KMM, there's no such thing as coincidence or it just happened to be the same name, I don't think so. :)) So I'm guessing the DEG/part of UK wrote those passages. Damn, now I need to go re-read them and see if there's more clues in there.

good idea. I think some people will just never get enough of Mac and Barrons. but I think a lot of people have softened to Dani......maybe lol.

good idea. I think some people will just never get enough of Mac and Barron..."
eww to mac and barrons lol.

WTF was the lead up with Dancer (first like his real name was Dancer), second weren't his lame ass parents connect to the Triton company? I think that was the name the evil company from the highlander books and Barrons mentioned them in the first what 900 books of the mac/barrons diatribe?
Also remember when Dani froze in Iced and Dancer knew how to bring her back cause the same thing happened to him? Really kid on the transplant list was climbing Everest? I know maybe going to Trinity was his decision but seriously he was younger when that happened & older than 8. It felt like the whole Dani/Dancer v card punch was just fodder. It felt forced and very cheesy.
I hated the Alina nonsense, but mostly I hated the endless inner Mac conversations. I have always wondered about Barrons, he has been alive 10,000 years and after all the women he would have met. Really a Barbie doll, Boyz & their Toyz.

So the idea is that they d always loved each other and throughout time get a chance to be together over and over again ..smthng like that LOL
And then i wonder........ and omg i hope its not the case, but if KMM went down the reincarnation path - is it gonna be the same for Dani and Ryo? Like Dancer was some alternative and younger reincarnation of Ryo or whatever? And in the end Ryo will become DEG (being a bro of the UK, its only fitting if he transforms in one of his ex-body shells).
Thats too surreal probs though xD

that sounds a little too whack lmao.
i don't think KMM is going down the re-incarnation route. That's so cheesy haha.

LOL agree!! xD
Btw i tried to go back and see what was quoted from the book of rain in the past books.. but is it me missing stuff, or it was actually first mentioned in Iced? ? I was sure there was more of it in the original 5 books, but couldnt find it.
In Iced its before each new part of the book, and its about misic. How its super important for life and all.
In Burned i didnt find any quotes again.
Feverborn:
- it was about the legend of the monster which is usually bigger than the monster (just what Dani told Mac about Hel-cat btw).
- and also about the song of Making how it was created and lost.
And in Feversong: nothing.
Could it be Kmm indeed introduced it with dani story?

Yeah, it was only mentioned at the beginning of book parts in ICED. And then in Feversong "the man who called himself Rain"... I don't believe in coincidences. lol Maybe that part was shelved for a Dani-centered book and we will see more of DEG/Rain/the concubine where that leads us in the next books.
And remember how Dancer said he died, but then 'his heart started again. no clue why?' Even if he's not DEG, maybe DEG brought him back to life to be a part of Mega's life. Like DEG (or whatever part of UK that was) needed Dani and Dancer to happen for whatever upcome he was seeing.
Not to mention that when Rain wrote those passages about life without music being impossible, we haven't figured out yet that TFK was 'eating' the sound hence the ice and the black holes. No?
lmao sorry, I know I'm all over the place.
And please God, just let Mac & Barrons fucking be already. Yes, it was an open ending, but leave that at everyone's imagination and move. on. :))

Yep, just came to post this:
"There will be 2 more Fever books but I will not set expectations for either of them until shortly before they're released, as I did with Feversong. I'd personally love to see the series become a TV/HBO/Netflix/Showtime/Whatever series and would very much like to be involved."
And about the Iced controversy:
"because my publisher and I already knew Dani's end game was Dancer, not Ryodan, in this story arc, none of us expected anything of the sort. It seemed, to us, to come completely out of the blue."

Karen: "Yes. All of it was contained in my original 2010 outline and there was foreshadowing. :)"

Yeah replied mine, but my question is just a compliment, didnt realize any other, we have to make a list of all questions and answers girls

https://www.facebook.com/groups/16149..."
Can someone sum up the q&a? I don't have facebook and am waiting with bated breath for any goodies she'll give us

Here's another good one:
Q:Karen Moning Did you know that Jo would die or was that just how the story unfolded as you were writing? Did you find her death or the book eating her more difficult to write about?
A:Jo was always meant for death like the ensign on the bridge of Star Trek who's name we don't know but who has family and a life just starting. It comes sometimes, on cat's paws in the early morning fog when we least expect it. I made her as happy as I could before I took her. Kindness or no? As for the eating, it was logical for the Book to consider that if eating Unseelie flesh endowed strength, why not see if eating human flesh would also? It's violence, curiosity and quest for power was escalating.. The scene was neither pleasant nor unpleasant to write. I was in the Sinsar Dubh's head.
Speaking of Jo, reading Dani & Dancer felt pretty similar to when I read Jo & Ryodan LMAO

Unless I really missed something what are the NINE. I still have no idea.
Also did the DEG stay with the concubine on here island planet?

Apparently since she blocked me for asking about the forum I can't see her posts then. pfft whatever

Well if she's implying that they (Dani & Ryo) are not going to get a traditional HEA (a la Highlanders), I'm thinking more things will be revealed in the next books and more things will happen that will lead to a happy, but open ending, with various possibilities (a la Mac & B).

No? What happened? I totally missed that.

No? What happened? I totally missed that."
Edited: Someone must have mentioned my post to her I made in that group or she could see it because suddenly I see her posts and her page is unblocked. Interesting.
Anyone have the actual answer she gave on Dani Ryo? :/

Nono she actually said she was just messing with us LOL

Nono she actually said she was just messing with us LOL"
Ah, yes :D lol
K: sometimes guys, I just dick with you. I hope you don't mind too much. Dancer was human.

Ryodan says that he will wait until she gets tired of all her lovers and is ready to settle down to be her last forever love. If this is his mentality, how could there ever be any romantic progression between them in the next two books? Please help put my worries to rest (I know I'm looking at these books from a romantic pov, but please indulge me, lol)
A: You're asking me to venture in story as yet untold and I won't. But I think on a deeper level you're asking me for the assurance that--because you ship Dani and Ryodan-- I will give you a traditional romance HEA between them. I can only give you these assurances: I love Dani, I don't write traditional romance and haven't since 2003 and I, more so than perhaps anyone, want to see Dani fully formed and happy.

Thanks so much Deea! You are amazing!

wow great work, thank you Deea

It's nice to hear she's on fire with Dani's upcoming book, can't wait to see what comes next for her and Shazam!!
I'm a bit worried though that poor Dani has now had 2 meltdowns of increasing proportion, and we still haven't gotten to her dealing with the trauma of her killing her mom (which, from a psychological point of view, should be pretty huge). This is one of the things that she has buried so deep that losing Dancer seems almost like a dress rehearsal before the actual show. Any thoughts on this?

MQ, there should be 2 books confirmed, right?
I admit, I'm nervous about Dani's story because there's still so much to tell, and 2 books sounds very little... But the good thing is, KMM sounds very committed and possessive of Dani's story, so she def wants to tell it in full. It wouldn't exactly be a surprise if there ends up being more than just 2... The wild card is the fan base I guess, the next book needs to do well and get the Barrons fans onboard.

Yeah 2 books confirmed but KMM said only 1 next years book about fever world other one is completely different story which she even say not a word about it.
So true so much to tell about Dani and fever world, her muse seems back to her again

I think with the previous books (including Feversong), the fanbase was a bit divided between Mac&B - Dani&Ryo(&Dancer). But now that that story arc is over (for now, at least), everyone can be on board for the Dani&Ryo ship and want more of them too.
What I got from her talking about the future was that there's going to be 2 more Fever books (1 next year, one not mentioned) and yet another one with a different world?
Dani still has a lot of trauma to get over and tantrums to throw. I think Dancer opened that dam, made her accept feelings again, and Ryo will be there along to way now to push her over the edge again and again LOL.
I'm seeing (or hoping to see) lots of banter and clashes between them in the next book. :)

A: There are two reasons for the lack of graphic sex in Feversong: 1. It didn't belong in this book. I felt a hot, graphic sex scene would have diluted what I was aiming to achieve with this installment. This book more than any other was about love. 2. I don't write romance novels any more. The sex scenes that I do write have a clear purpose. I don't want to be bound by genre, especially when it's not romance to begin with. I think it does a disservice to the series. Now--if I were writing romance novels--you can bet you'd get those scenes! A caveat--the next Dani book is not a romance novel either. If you're reading it hoping for a classic Ryodan/Dani romance, with the formulaic romantic progression of character with an ultimate mating as the end-all, be-all with lots of graphic hot sex scenes, you'll be disappointed.

I don't think anyone who has been reading the Fever series is expecting traditional romance storylines from any of the characters. But from what she's said in different parts of the Q&A, I don't get why KMM seems so baffled by readers shipping Dani and Ryo and hoping they will come together since she has written a much more convincing connection between them than M&B ever had. Shouldn't be that much of a surprise... But I guess we need to come to terms with the fact that we might not get to see this type of conclusion for Dani&Ryo.

It will sound a little hostile, and it's maybe just my bad english( english is my third language) misconceiving KMM's responses, but it seems like the whole concept of Q&A offends her. Like no one gets a straight answer, and i get it, cause KMM build up a serie based on cliffhangers, and that's how book publishing works. Its just like she would except from us to avoid the most obvious questions.
Regarding D&Ryo, their relationship has two outcome. Like Sbcurious wrote, it will be like M&B's, or KMM will try to create such a special and extraordinary bond between them, that its not gonna work on an everyday level, and its not gonna be satisfying at all, and im not talking about the sex scenes.
I wish i would be wrong, but lets admit it, Iced was exceptional. On the other hand Iced it's the proof that she can make it, so im not giving up my hopes for now, its not that i dont love to be suprised by an unexpected ending:) its just too important for me. Like im in love with them separately and like a couple and i don't wanna lose them :D

I've always gotten the same vibe reading KMM Q&As, and English is my first language lol. Usually I avoid her Q&As for this reason, but given that it was supposed to be the big "finale" of the main series I was curious. I don't understand why comes across that way nor do I understand why she's so unwilling to answer questions or even hint at questions that her readers have had for YEARS (e.g. She said she will never tell the origin story of the Nine, when their story is one of the biggest questions the fan base has). I've never seen an an author appear to be so offended when his/her fan base so invested that they want more answers than questions (especially after ten years of books).
