I'm totally getting into this one.

Well, slight detour. I couldn't read an ARC due many, many months ago due to eye issues. I just now reminded myself to read/review! So, I am reading Declutter Workbook: Illustrated DIY Projects for your Home by Luigi Harbin.

So did I. It was such a clever twist on Sherlock/Charlotte Holmes! I'm looking forward to reading Conspiracy... soon.

That's what I loved about it, that clever twist! This one is coming along really well.

My TBR mountain is growing!

Current reads:

Set in 1888 New York City. I am about 1/3 through it. It is okay. Not finding anything special another gilded age book set in New York. I friend liked it a lot so I hope it picks up

Have you read any of Jane Harper’s other books, Alice? They are very evocative of different parts of Australia, outside the cities that are more familiar to people overseas.
Why Mermaids Sing by C.S. Harris Very good historical mystery set during early 1800s. Brings to light and skillfully employs the customs and hypocrisies of that era.

Newbie to this club, David here - I have read "The Lost Man" & "The Dry" Great books, both were winners of various book awards and "The Dry" was made into a movie 2021!
Hope I'm posting this right, I'm a senior and have nightmares with forums!!

and the other, a spy thriller The Beirut Protocol

Definitely mystery, in the jungles of South America. Brilliant story, especially if you are interested in scientific research.

Thanks for the recommendation, Helen. I've never read anything by Ann Patchett. As a retired scientist, this sounds like a good place for me to start.

PS Hope link works, David N.

I'm obsessed with the Scream film franchise, so when I saw this book, I had to read it.

Sorry I haven't been on lately. We are between internet providers. Online time is severely restricted since we are using our phone hotspot! I am still reading the Save the Date.

I loved Veronica Mars, the movie, and the books. Haven't watched the revival season and not sure I want to based on what I know about it. Not cozy. But very enjoyable.

Would those who have never seen the show enjoy this book? It sounds like something I might want to read.

I think people who have not seen the show would enjoy this book. It's a clever story. Having the background story is helpful to understanding Veronica's perspective, but I don't think essential. If you read it, let me know what you think.

I completed

I highly recommend obtaining this set. However, please get it soon since it is a limited-time offering. This is a beautifully written Christian Romance anthology with each story centering around a wedding. This collection was completed with all 12 stories intact to honor and in memory of two of the authors who passed away during the year of production.
