The biography is authored by her son Elliot. The book takes place after FDR's death in April 1945 until her death in 1962. Fascinating story on how she help shape the United Natations. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys reading about Eleanor Roosevelt.

Nancy (nancyjcohen) | 42 comments I am reading Princess Academy by Shannon Hale. Princess Academy It's a fun, light YA type book about a mountain girl at an academy for potential princesses. This author also wrote Austenland, and I see there is a sequel that I must get. As for mysteries, I just finished the upcoming Stitch, Bake, Die! by Lois Winston. It's a fun, fast-paced cozy.

Current reads:

The Return of the King (The Lord of the Rings, #3) by J.R.R. Tolkien The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien Nearly finished on this at least my third read of this classic.

King Javan's Year (The Heirs of Saint Camber Book 2) by Katherine Kurtz King Javan's Year by Katherine Kurtz You know things do not go well for the main character with a title like this. My second read of this book. The Deryni series remains among my favorite fantasy works. No elves or dwarves or dragons but classic writing. Best read in publication order.

Maltese Vulture Murder (Merry Wrath Mysteries, #13) by Leslie Langtry Maltese Vulture Murder by Leslie Langtry Book 13 in the long running laugh out loud series. Book 20 comes out this month and I already have it pre-ordered. Never know if this series is cozy or not. Merry Wrath, ex CIA agent, current Girl Scout leader has her hands full of craziness again. My sense of humor is just as warped as Leslie Langtry's.

Zermeena | 725 comments I finished The Thousand-Dollar Tan Line which is more noir than cozy. If you loved the Veronica Mars TV show, then you will love this book. It seamlessly picks up where the movie left of. I listened to the audio book and Kristen Bell's narration is amazing. The mystery was complex with many layers. And of course Veronica is the only one persistent enough to unravel all the clues.

I think people who have not seen the show would enjoy this book. It's a clever story. Having the background story is helpful to understanding Veronica's perspective, but I don't think essential. If you read it, let me know what you think.

I highly recommend obtaining this set. However, please get it soon since it is a limited-time offering. This is a beautifully written Christian Romance anthology with each story centering around a wedding. This collection was completed with all 12 stories intact to honor and in memory of two of the authors who passed away during the year of production.
