Robin (robinmy) I've had a busy start to the month. I finished listening to Match Me If You Can (Chicago Stars, #6) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips Match Me If You Can by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. It's a re-read for me and was just as good as the first time I read it.

My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

For my ride to work this past week, I listened to Mackenzie's Pleasure (Mackenzie Family, #3) by Linda Howard Mackenzie's Pleasure by Linda Howard. This was vintage Linda Howard.

My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I read the second book in Teresa Medeiros's Farleigh Sisters> series called One Night Of Scandal (Fairleigh Sisters, #2) by Teresa Medeiros One Night Of Scandal. It was highly amusing.

My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Last night I finished Take No Prisoners (Black Ops Inc., #2) by Cindy Gerard Take No Prisoners by Cindy Gerard. I liked this addition to the series better than the first book.

message 114: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I didn't read any Historical Romance in almost a year and all of sudden, I'm on a HR kick. In the past month, I've read A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux , The Highwayman (Victorian Rebels, #1) by Kerrigan Byrne Seven Secrets of Seduction (Secrets, #1) by Anne Mallory , all which I liked WAY more than I thought I would.

I'm glad to be reading one of my favorite genres again!

Robin (robinmy) It's a nice rainy day to do nothing but reads (and sit in front of the computer). Today I finished Law Man (Dream Man, #3) by Kristen Ashley Law Man by Kristen Ashley. Mitch is definitely my favorite hero in the series so far.

message 123: by Sandra J (new)

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 361 comments I've read all of the Harmony/Rainshadow books. There should be another one sometime in August, I think. At least that's when her new one is usually released.

message 124: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Read 3 duds in a row (all rated 2.5 stars or less)
She Tempts the Duke (The Lost Lords of Pembrook, #1) by Lorraine Heath First Star I See Tonight (Chicago Stars, #8) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips Because of Miss Bridgerton (Rokesbys, #1) by Julia Quinn

But then, I read Egomaniac by Vi Keeland which was amazing. Now I'm reading Dukes Prefer Blondes (The Dressmakers, #4) by Loretta Chase which I'm enjoying a lot. It has one of those curmudgeonly heroes and he's hilarious.

I've debating starting that Sue Grafton's series. is it good?

I loved "how to flirt..."

message 132: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (icanhasbooks) ShoSho, I finished it a few hours ago, it was an alright start to the series. I have a feeling that Kinny will get better as the series goes on, she has potential for a lot of growth.

message 133: by Anita (last edited Apr 04, 2017 05:02PM) (new)

I really enjoyed that one!
I thought Bossman by Vi Keeland was barely alright. I am listening to Deep Redemption (Hades Hangmen, #4) by Tillie Cole and reading White Fire by Cassie Edwards

I was, unfortunately, disappointed with this series. Too much focus on the business and not enough on the characters and the romance.

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments I started listening to On the Edge (The Edge, #1) by Ilona Andrews this morning , less than an hour in. The world is really complicated I had to listen to the first 10 minutes a few time to get what's what. But I really like this narrator and Ilona Andrews and I know I'll love this book!

D.G. Lauren wrote: "I was, unfortunately, disappointed with this series. Too much focus on the business and not enough on the characters and the romance."

I dnfed the first book in the series and didn't read 2 or 3 (I didn't like how mercenaries the heroines where.)

I picked this one (#4) because the heroine and heroine were not one of the DeLucy's and I'm glad I read it! It almost felt like a standalone - people from the first 3 books appear very rarely and don't have important roles.

message 143: by D.G. (new)

D.G. Continuing my HR kick, I'm listening to The Earl's Mistress (MacLachlan Family & Friends, #10) by Liz Carlyle - I haven't read any of the books from the "series" and I'm following along perfectly alright. I'm enjoying it a lot...there's some light BDSM/bondage but it fits very well in the story.

message 144: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) D.G. wrote: "(I didn't like how mercenaries the heroines where.) ."

Agreed. They were very manipulative. I might have enjoyed #4 more if I hadn't read the others :0(

Ebook: Magic Burns (Kate Daniels, #2) by Ilona Andrews

message 147: by Gisela, Moderator (new)

Gisela (chicadorlando) | 4022 comments Finished Hot in Hellcat Canyon (Hellcat Canyon, #1) by Julie Anne Long , found it ok. It had all the right ingredients except for some reason I found it bland. The "witty banter" was boring and I really didn't feel that sexual tension. At least it counts for the double-decker...
