✓11. A book you were exited to buy or borrow, but haven't read yet - Chicago's Polish Downtown by Victoria Granacki

I purchased this several years ago to learn more about my Polish ancestry (my great-grandparents immigrated to Chicago from Krakow in the late 1800's), but it kept getting put on the backburner. It's a really great narrative, flush with pictures that illustrate the times, on the Polish community in Chicago and its influence on the rest of the world.
