Heather (bigaitchc) I've just read the brilliant book The Invention of Wings I've listed this as a book about refugees / immigrants. Really it's about slavery but within it are stories of exiled / refugee slaves, I felt it fit here.

I love Larson's book, but I had avoided this one due to bad reviews. I'm so glad that I read it! While it was a bit denser than Larson's other books, he made the passengers and the tragedy come alive. Definitely worth reading! 4 stars
