2. A book that's been on your TBR list for way too long - Chicago's Polish Downtown by Victoria Granacki

I purchased this several years ago to learn more about my Polish ancestry (my great-grandparents immigrated to Chicago from Krakow in the late 1800's), but it kept getting put on the backburner. It's a really great narrative, flush with pictures that illustrate the times, on the Polish community in Chicago and its influence on the rest of the world.

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed #14 (travel) - Starflight by Melissa Landers. This turned out to be much more interesting than I expected. The future as envisioned by the author is interesting, even if there are a few holes in her theories. The characters were unique and nicely complex. And while there is a bit of the teen angst, for the most part, it was an enjoyable read. Worth reading! 4 stars
