I read Call the Midwife A True Story of the East End in the 1950s.  by Jennifer Worth by Jennifer Worth. The book cover has a picture of the three midwives cycling through East End London. In the background there are a number of washing lines hanging between the buildings and you can see various different materials / cloth (mostly cloth for nappies it seems) on the line. The three midwives and children in the background can also be seen to be clothed which was approved in the tasks help thread in message 25.
