Ok, I've completed six!

You do have to complete it to get credit for it, yes. But you do not have to do all 10 items to win the game. You only need to do 5 to win the game, you can use the books you're reading for the group challenge, and remember that you can overlap Finish a Book, Read for Two Hours Straight, and Read 500 Pages. So, technically, you only really need to finish 2 books if you go that route.

RULES
1. Complete 5/10 tasks to claim the treasure. You do not have to complete all the tasks to win. You're welcome to, of course, if you're feeling really ambitious. You also do not have to read in order.
2. As always, overlapping is limited. It is one book per task with the exception of the Read 500 Pages, Read for Two Hours Straight, and Finish a Book tasks. If you're participating in the team challenge also, you can use books you read for the team challenge toward your individual challenge and vice versa.
3. Don't beat yourself up trying to find the perfect book for a task. They're open to interpretation so do what feels right to you. We're here if you have questions.
4. Have fun!
TASKS
1. Read a Book Where a Character Travels - Read a book about pirates on the open sea, a traveling circus, a move to a new town for a fresh start, an epic fantasy journey, a hike up the coast, or a road trip. There are any number of possibilities here.
2. Read a Book with a Dark Cover - This one's pretty self-explanatory but here's a few examples...
Use your own discretion. If it's a mostly dark cover, it works.
3. Read a Book for a Challenge - Any challenge. It does not have to be the ATY Challenge. If you're done with all your challenges for the year, pick a prompt from a challenge you haven't completed or read a second book for a challenge you have completed.
4. Read a Book Someone Else Read for the ATY Challenge - You can comb through the progress posts for inspiration or browse through the A-Z Folders. With such an active group and eleven months behind us, there's a good chance a book on your TBR has already been read by someone in the group. Use the search feature to search for a specific book (don't forget to select the "only topics" button below the search box to narrow your search).
5. Read a Book with a Great Villain Character - You know what they say, light cannot exist without darkness. A story just wouldn't be the same without a villain mucking things up for everyone. Take this opportunity to really appreciate how important a good villain is to a good story.
6. Read 500 Pages - Read-a-thons are all about reading! Your dedication to reading won't go unnoticed. You can claim this task with 500 pages read.
7. Read a Book on Your Reading Wishlist - Basically, read a book that you've been dying to read - whatever that means to you. Maybe it's a new release, a library hold that finally came in, or a book you just haven't been able to get to yet.
8. Read for Two Hours Straight - C'mon, it's a read-a-thon! Find a cozy nook and curl up with a book for a couple of hours. Everything else can wait.
9. Read a Book with a Heroic Character - Heroes don't always wear capes or shining armor. There are plenty of heroic characters who come in all shapes and sizes. Go find your hero.
10. Finish a Book - Pick up a book and read it to the end. That's easy enough, huh? Please note, if you started the book before the read-a-thon, you must have been less than 75% done with it for it to count toward this task.
