I have finally finished a book! The Paul Street Boys - 127 pages today, + 30 mins of Canterbury Tales on audio.Total for week:
257 pages
4 hrs audio
Finished book:
The Paul Street Boys
I think I am eligible for short stories as well - I have listened to three tales in the Canterbury Tales this week. Long tales...

I think I'm going to have to look for them.
SamZ wrote: "Just finished reading 3 picture books for my first guess! The Steadfast Tin Soldier, [book:Toys Meet Snow: Being the Wintertime Adventures of a Curious Stuffed Buffalo, a Sensitive ..."That is one long title. lol
Ok, I would like to guess D10, please. Also, I have done both the cover game and the turn back time game.Just finished reading Glitches. It counts for AtY challenge, one-word title, finished in one sitting, sci-fi, short story, and child MC. Let's put it wherever we need it :)
And my total pages for today is 84, bringing me up to 212 total pages. Off to bed, see you guys tomorrow!
The guesses are...Melanie: H2 = Hit; H3 = Hit -- Congrats! You sunk our submarine!
Sarah: E3 = Miss; J6 = Miss; F6 = Hit; F10 = Hit
Samz: D10 = Hit
Congrats on all the hits! You guys are lighting the board up like a Christmas tree!
This is fun! I wish I had gotten in on this sooner, because the best part of my 2016 was the amount of reading I was able to do.

Woohoo.
That's a good idea Emm, I'll chose to make Deadpool a 'Book in a Series' topic hit.Today I read 136 pages in Deadpool and then 136 (halfway) in Very Good, Jeeves! (which I plan to count for the Spring cover topic. Though, it's also a very old book.)
Emm wrote: "Marta, you'll get a guess if you assign your finished book to a category."Oh, I totally planned on doing that, lol. It was late!
It is a children/young adult classic, so I am guessing Middle Grade book.
It is for the Popsugar category "a book you haven't read since high school".
I just finished the NY Times game. Also, I notice there's a hole in the board between two hits. Anyone have a problem with using one of Emm's guesses as E10?
I just finished the NY Times game.Oh...and I forgot to mention that the book I finished yesterday was read for a challenge with the Reading with Style group... if that helps.... I don't know. I noticed other people mentioning it.
Emm wrote: "Oh, Lois! I almost didn't see you there. Welcome to the group. You get a guess for finishing your book and another for being the group member to get us to 20 books read! :DSarah - Jennifer is rig..."
Thanks, Emm! For my guesses, I'll try E6 and F5.
I'm going to be updating this soon. I'll be doing a few less updates tonight, guys, as I'm sick and trying to get some rest.
Completed the Kickoff questions, as well as the Name the Cover, NYT book tag, If I Could Turn Back Time questions, and am 150 pages into O Little Town of Maggody.
This all sounds like SO much fun! Will there be a similar challenge set for 2017? If so, may I join in please? Please let me know if/when there is a set challenge created for 2017---and thanks! :0)
We do these about 3x a year, Jennifer Lynn. There will be some in 2017 also. I'll try to send out a group message to let everyone know before they start. :)
Yes, please! Thanks so much! I had a FANTASTIC year of reading in 2016 (I was on sick leave, so reading was my escape from the harsh reality of my illness) and doubt I will ever have such a great year of reading again, so I'm bummed I didn't now about this challenge thing at the START of 2016, as opposed to December! But, SIGN ME UP for 2017- it will help me learn/discover some new authors, I hope. :0)
I read 187 pages in The Eyre Affairand listened to the audio book of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas for 70 minutes today.
Get well soon Emm!

Have you seen the movie Ed?
Jennifer wrote: "Ed wrote: "I read 187 pages in The Eyre Affairand listened to the audio book of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas for 70 minutes today.
No...I didn't know there was a movie for either book.
Have you seen the movie Ed?"
I finished Very Good, Jeeves! today, which I read for the topic 'Book with a Spring Cover' as seen here:
Trees and flowers, check. I also have made good progress into my next book, Another Fine Myth with 54 pages.
This puts my total pages at 629.
Is there a minimum page limit for books? I'm reading a book with 144 pages, will this book still count as a book finished?
I forgot to add my page count last night, so here it is, for thursday: I finished Saga volume 5, which should get me another guess.
I read a total of 182 pages. I also listened to my audiobook but I haven't converted the pages yet. I'll try to do that today so we can add it to the page count.
I haven't been adding my page tally at the end of each day so here is yesterday and todays tally.Allegiant- 206 pages.
You'll never walk alone: A true story about the 'Bangkok Hilton'- 80 pages.
I Die, But The Memory Lives On- 44 pages.
= 330 pages.
Total page count for Read-a-thon= 719 pages.
I hope you feel better soon Emm!I haven't added my page count for the last 2 days so between Something Wicked This Way Comes, Anne of Green Gables, Malice at the Palace, and The Fade Out: Act Two I have read another 212 pages!
