Midnight Call

I overslept this morning. I couldn't sleep at in the night, and even though I woke up sometime around five or six, I fell asleep again. I nearly missed the bus to school.

So if anyone's wondering why I couldn't sleep yeah right, no one cares, my older brother is sick. He didn't go to work yesterday, but he had a slight fever last night. Being in the same room, it was just hard to sleep. So see you all in a few days saying that I fell sick too and that my mum doesn't care whatsoever. It happens all the time. Brother falls sick: "My dearest son is sick! He's coughing! Let me prepare my homemade remedy!" I fall sick: "For crying out loud, shut up and stop coughing!" That's why I'm daddy's girl, people! At least he'd make a fuss even if it's a little fever.

Also, at around - okay, candidly, I'm not sure - sometime after we all went to bed, my mum's phone began to ring. I heard it over my brother's snoring and I swear I heard Mum open her door and say 'hello'. But then I kept hearing her ringtone over and over and over again. It was all in my head, but it was ringing and I was paranoid and anxious. Strangely, this morning, she told me that someone - possibly her friend who went to visit her children in the US, had called last night and that she didn't even hear it.

I swear I heard the door open! And a faint hello!

Now I'm hearing things in the night as well? Agh!

Besides, my stupid neighbours were being noisy again! :/

I love it whenever you write these Hallie. It's like a tiny glimpse into your daily life. And that's sorta the same way for me but I only have a younger brother. :) Whenever he falls sick my mother and father take the day off to care for him. Me? Well I'm left home alone to deal with it. I do understand since he's younger than me but if he was older I wouldn't understand one bit.
