You know, I just realized the meaning of "getting into a top school shouldn't be the ultimate purpose of life."

And yeah, seems silly, but it's a breakthrough for me. I hope I can remember and cherish this feeling. But seeing a wonderful senior completely happy with where they are going really struck a chord in me. Also, my favorite teacher who's not Mr. Knox went to a state school that accepts more than 50%! I wouldn't have guessed that at all because they are so, so smart! I just can't believe I got here and- I sound like an arrogant idiot but this is such an upward moment! Especially because for the last few months I feel like I could have a real anxiety disorder.

Well, uh, I'm glad it did, because it's the root of much of my anxiety.
