Mum: Huh?! For what joy?!
Dad: *laughs* *insert cousin's name* finally got his degree!
Mum: He is a year older than *insert brother's name*, and our boy has been working for two years!
Me: *slaps forehead* Why?! Why?! Stop patronising people like that. Who else except you says that you're any better?!

(I used to use Duolingo for Italian. I gave up pretty soon, though xP)

Yay for me! xD I'm fine with English being important because I think a standard language throughout the world would be helpful to tourists and people who go abroad, but I agree that the other languages should not be allowed to die. Maybe English and their own language - preferably their native language first and English second or something.

Oh Them Teachers!
All usual, most of my day was boring, but these things two incidents stood out because it was just funny.
Let me start with my Biology teacher. She was teaching us about microbes that are used for medical purposes, and the example that she gave was penicillin. She asked us who discovered it and some of us, including me, said Alexander Flemming. What she said next was..... Alright, she said, "Yes, Alexander Flemming discovered penicillin. I believe his discovery was by fluke. Penicillin was used extensively during the wars, especially the World War 3." As soon as I heard that, I looked up and stared at her like the World War 3 never happened and hopefully won't happen other than in my jejune short story that you will never read. And seeing our expressions, she was like, "World War 3, right? Oh! Some world war."
It's not wonder why she is a Biology teacher!
We had another substitute teacher for Physics because the regular one was absent. This teacher handled lab for me, and she and another teacher are the reason why I didn't fail in my practical test. They legit helped me and even gave me 24 out of 30 when I got the most horrible and difficult experiment and screwed up. Thank you, teachers!
Anyway, so I personally like her. However, when she started teaching, she just kept moving from one end of the dias to the other so fast that our necks couldn't keep up turning at her pace! She left the room for a minute, and my class began to talk about how she looks like she has a flight to catch. It would help us students if she um, stayed in one place. Some people couldn't understand her enunciation, but I was fine with it. And I understood what she taught, so I don't have many complaints, except for her running from one place to another. It was kind of hilarious, though xP
