23. Ayana (Just after sunset)
24. A Very Tight Place (Just after sunset)
24/24
Ugh, note to myself: no King for advent calendar. I had him last year too but this collection was even worse. December is stressful time enough without these miserable stories, today's story was top of all (he was stuck in toilet and so on) I need more cheerful stuff.
Merry Xmas!

Completed 24 / 24
I don't normally read poems and this seemed like a great challenge to dip my toes in the world of poetry. I actually enjoyed reading something different for a change. Thanks for hosting this!
Merry Christmas everyone!

Thank you for setting the challenge.

And congratulations to everyone who finished their challenges!
AND! Merry christmas!
I was knocked out by the noro virus, blech - but the list should be up to date now.

I just noticed, that you wrote "early" next to my name in the participant list? I did not finish early - I read the last poem on the 24th, but as it was morning time in Denmark, it probably looked like the evening of the 23rd in the US because of the time difference, haha :)

I know it's only the 30th but I went ahead and completed this challenge... Truthfully, I have been on and off sick this month and some days I wouldn't read at all and on others I'd play catch up. This is an awesome challenge though! We need to find another excuse do it before December rolls around again. Maybe we could do something like this in February for Black History Month and make all of the short stories and/or poems be by black authors OR March is Women's History Month OR June is Gay Lesbian Pride Month, etc.

I definitely chose a dark book of short stories to finish off this dark year. Haha. I actually enjoyed Joyce Carol Oates' writing, but probably could've chosen something a little more upbeat to end the year off with :P

And congrats, everyone who finished - happy new year!
