I have a question: I understand that we are not allowed to move into the second life before all 5- and 3-point tasks of the first life have been completed. But what about a situation where a team member is still reading an "extra" task for 3 points (i.e. reading the same task for the second time, if another team member has already read it for 5 points): is the team still allowed to move into the next life, since the obligatory tasks have been completed? Also, once we have moved into the second life, can we still keep adding "extra" task points to the first one? I'm just thinking of a situation where we might have trouble completing the second life because some tasks are difficult to complete, but could still gater "extra" points from doing some tasks from the first life for the second time. I hope my wording made even vaguely sense....

Hey jaxnsmom, I can't find the message from Wanda about wanting to be on a Toppler team.
She is missing in action, and I'm trying to contact her.
Where's Wanda?
Hmm. I have another question: I have a member who I have put down for a YA book in the first LIFE, can they be in the same task again for Life 2?
Sarah wrote: "I found Wally =P lol..."
NO, NO! This doesn't look like Wanda! I have to find Wanda! :D
Elsbeth wrote: "Then maybe we can add Wally to our team? He looks very cute! :)"Hehe =] He could be our mascot =O

You've lost Wanda, we've lost your sister. Sorry, very careless of us.

Hmmm...I haven't seen Debra either! Will poke her for you!☺

Unlike Bingo (where the first board had to be completed before starting a second), in this Toppler it won't matter when the books are completed. A second 5 point book can be read while still on the first board. At that point if the Toppler ended, it would only be worth 3 points. But if all tasks are completed, it could be used for the second board and then would become worth 5 points. Does that make sense?
It's very important to make sure all the 3 point tasks are completed! If one accidentally gets missed, then your team will be screwed for points.
Let me know what part of this needs clarification!

Wanda had messaged me. She was supposed to let you know she would only be available part of the week and could only read one book. Hopefully you'll hear from her soon about what category. Maybe you could plan on her reading for the second board for now.
Sarah wrote: "Hmm. I have another question: I have a member who I have put down for a YA book in the first LIFE, can they be in the same task again for Life 2?"Yes, as long as it's with a different book. There are no restrictions on how many tasks one person can complete, or on what those tasks are.

Great to know, Thanks for the response.
Whatever Wanda reads will be welcomed points, and most likely 5 points at that!☺

This makes life much easier.
So just checking about starting times - you have 12 noon EST as usual but last toppler it was slightly different because of summertime change and I know I started at the wrong time so just wanted to make sure - EST or EDT?

Hey everybody - Start and end time should be EDT since we're in daylight savings time now. Sorry! So a lot of you will need to check your starting and ending time.
Thanks J'mom for clarifying the time - that makes it easier! I'm starting in one time zone and finishing in another!
I have to admit that I am intimidated by the number of posts by Teams A and C. I will be reading them, but if there are any questions for me, please copy them here or in book rulings. I'm afraid I might miss them otherwise!
Sarah wrote: "Thanks J'mom for clarifying the time - that makes it easier! I'm starting in one time zone and finishing in another!"Do you know what time we start here in the UK Sarah? I thought it was 5pm but that is probably wrong.

Either that or we talk too much ;)

Probably some of both :)

This is going to be another great toppler - I can feel it! As I have no internet access for the first 5 days I might actually get a higher percentage of reading versus chatting on here done this time round! ;-)
Sarah wrote: "jaxnsmom wrote: "I have to admit that I am intimidated by the number of posts by Teams A and C. But where would the fun be in that?! I know during Topplers I'll be on here reading and responding to posts while thinking "You should be reading! Close the laptop NOW and pick up your book!".
Lisa wrote: "Sarah wrote: "Lisa, I think we start at 4pm here this time round."Thanks Sarah. I always get them muddled up."
I don't think that is right. I just checked the difference for me (NL) with EDT is 6 hours and between the UK and me is only 1. So I think you across the Channel should start at 5 pm.
Elsbeth wrote: "I don't think that is right. I just checked the difference for me (NL) with EDT is 6 hours and between the UK and me is only 1. So I think you across the Channel should start at 5 pm. ..."I believe this is true. Noon EDT is 5 P.M. BST.

Woo hoo Sam! You are lucky enough to be on The Bee's Knees! Head on over and take a look at what we have so far.
As a Seahawks fan ( U.S. Football team)I support your giant 12! I've left my books downstairs and am watching mindless tv because I am saving up my reading energy- that and I don't want to start a nontoppler book tonight.
I have one book to finish reading and one to finish listening to. So, what have I been doing?? I watched Stardust, which I had recorded. Loved Robert DeNiro!

Read somewhere that de Niro turned down the lead in Pirates of the Caribbean, but accepted the Stardust role of Captain Shakespeare.
